Who says he's not black?

He's not black... but he IS Browning!

Dean Browning, a white political activist from Pennsylvania, acknowledges he accidentally tweeted about being "a black gay guy," but his explanation as to why has only further deepened an internet mystery into how the now-deleted tweet came to be.

"I am a black gay guy and I can personally say that Obama did nothing for me," the Tuesday tweet read, as shared by multiple journalists. Many observers initially suggested Browning had meant to send that message from another account, rather than his own.

But Browning — a former Lehigh County Commissioner and business executive who this year lost a GOP congressional primary by 4% of the vote — soon tweeted his explanation: "I was quoting a message that I received earlier this week from a follower..."

It was all an 'uh-oh, spaghettio' moment I guess. Maybe.

Hoo boy.

Someone didnt swap their Twitter accounts before posting as a *checks notes* black man.

How is everyone on the right feeling about Trumps actions currently?

that's racist to suggest you can't be black just because of the colour of one's skin.

Only once we scrap every remnant of the left and right, democrat and republican, labour and liberal and move into a new system of government, only then we may see humanity grow and flourish. Too much energy is spent opposing and not enough spent improving. How many times have policies been at the forefront of party doctrine and not for the benefit of humanity.

You could argue that opposing political parties create competition and drive, I would argue that competition and drive is stunted and will never reach its full potential under current forms of government.

The politics of division, not inclusion. Respect!

The competition and drive seems squarely focused on winning the next election and applying bandaid fixes rather than providing long term planning and solutions.

Did Trump even have a flatform or goals? Im pretty sure it just boiled down to "Make America Great Again"* and "Keep winning"

*Reportedly it takes longer than 4 years to make America great again, despite Trumps overwhelming success or something.

I'm sure Trumps goals were more aligned with his own personal interests than that of the US or world. He may well be a winner in that sense.

If we want politics to be about policy rather than personality........
1) Ban media interviews by politicians (including social media)
2) All communication of policy should be drafted in black and white prospectus with the risk, benefits, cost, objective and measurable outcomes by time AND variance reporting
3) No media reporting about politicians personal lives, just policy and professionalism. Even ban referring to politicians by name, rather the "member of....."
4) Close Canberra and have politicians work from their office in their electorate with their families. This will attract better candidates rather than
5) Remove the current position as PM to one more like Switzerland where it is a rotation, each year, from 14 government representatives (representing 2 candidates from each state and 1 candidate from each territory).
6) Double or triple the pay and halve the number of representatives
7) Get rid of retirement benefits and simply have a standard super and a higher rate pension

I'm torn on the getting rid of a "two party" system as the world's leading nations have been successful with this model. Italy for decades and Nazi Germany are examples of what can go wrong by having an unstable minority government.

That said, Switzerland's model is not bad. Whether it translates to a larger nation who's economy doesn't rely upon money laundering and tax evasion, would be interesting.

What's certain is social media and click bait media has turned a stable two party system into a divisive system.

Think anything designed by a committee, not the best, not the worst, thats a minority government,

I agree to most of these, and ill add that we need professionals in that are top of their field, from medical, science, finance ETC.. Full and open transparency with every deal done and every deal in process of being done. that way corruption should be bare minimum.
With all government dissolved we will not have any parties, any political Ideology, just pure decisions for the benefit of us the people (not the party because the party does not exist).

For a while there our political system, two-party as it is, was a bit of a joke too. How many Prime Ministers in a row got knifed by their own party room midway through their term?

the ability to knife PMs is a must safety control for government. it shouldn't be abused, but at the same time those knifed were hardly doing a good job. Rudd would have bankrupted Australia with his poor tax, gillard and her corrupt dealings, nutbag abott putting god before his people and limp dick turnbull. Australia deserved better anyway.

It also highlights how poor a judgement the political parties have, to either appoint a crap candidate or dismiss a good one.

a simple question......who have we lost as PM that was even half decent?

Bob.

Good call but once he lost Paul, he was just a drunken bully

When Paul lost Bob, he lacked the personality

But arguably the greatest and most important team, this country has ever seen

Great post!

The pay should be commensurate with what our politicians could receive in the corporate world. A two or three fold increase may not be enough.

Good post.

There's no chance of calm rational discourse with the Lefties. They will deconstruct and put together a new you until even you think you're evil. They will tell you what they think you mean, and then you're stuck with the label they give you. It's insidious.

We can talk about how we got here: 'the long march through the institutions', the internet, Twitter, Evergreen State etc. The most concerning thing if you listen carefully is they are starting to talk revenge for past injustice.

We all thought they just wanted to get rid of Trump and use pronouns like Pixiekin, and then they will eventually quieten down and go back to normal programming.

No. They've made it clear that is only the beginning. In the space of a year they have gone from arguing about the positives of Unisex toilets to burning down cities and shooting mothers in the street for daring to say "All Lives Matter."

It's very concerning.

Hitler was resentful of the Treaty of Versailles and blamed it for his country's woes, then sought revenge against the jews.

Luffties have a whole list of past and present injustices that must also be avenged.

Slavery
Racism
Trump
Police
Karens

And guess who the bad guy is in every one of those? You guessed it! The privileged white male/any white male.

Given the right set of conditions - Left wing party in power, Charismatic leadership, constant media propaganda - things could get very ugly for the average white Joe just going about his business.
You sound nervous or paranoid, maybe both?
Don't worry about the average white Joe, they've always taken care of themselves
