The AFL struggle to choose more than 2 AA KPF but are happy having 10 or 12 midfielders. If you are expanding elite forwards to 6 or 8 then you can easily expand the midfielders to 30.

Darcy has played 15 games for 45 goals. Cameron is the only one ahead of averages.

Why would the All-Australian Team have more than 2 KPF? Are you saying Sam Darcy is going to be one of them this year?

More midfielders are picked as they are more valuable then other positions on the ground.

Midfielders, especially those that are elite, can play multiple positions on the ground having far more impact.

Midfielders are far more important therefore attract the coaches votes. Coaches clearly rate the midfielders as more impactful.

Midfielders also dominate the Brownlow therefore umpires also rate the midfielders more impactful.

AFLPA is also dominated by midfielders...

AFLPA is an award voted on mostly by midfielders

Can look at B & Fs where full backs and full forwards have a chance to win, along with midfielders and ruck. Because most of the other systems used to measure just dont work.

If I was picking a team to play Im choosing J Cameron first. If you stupidly choose a midfielder Im choosing Darcy next. And off the bat my team is going to beat yours. I dont care which 2 midfielders you go with, I can get a nearly as good midfielder as my next choice.

The gap between Cameron and Darcy and the rest is far, far greater than the gap between the midfielders.

Elite midfielders win premierships, elite KPF are just a nice to have. Many premierships won without an elite KPF, none without an elite midfielder.

Actually when you factor in the injury effected game Darcy averages more SI then Nick and is 1 of 4 KPF to average over 7 a game

I don't hate Collingwood, they are WAYYY down my pecking order in terms of teams I dislike. That's relatively common amongst my circles too.

Thing is there’s no wrong answer. I’m not going to argue someone picking Nick Daicos over Darcy.

I’d pick Darcy but admit I might be a bit bias.

Pies fans act like you’re choosing Tom Campbell over Daicos though if you prefer Darcy.
