I guess if we wanted him he could be included in a Hodge trade as I noticed it's mentioned he's a FA and we won't want to ruin any compo we get if Rocky leaves.
What's the word on Whitecross in Brisbane. Are the Lions interested?

Do you reckon Brisbane would do Hodge, Whitecross, Duryea & 32 for 18 would be fair?

I'm pretty sure we've wanted Whitecross for the past two years. He has chosen to stay at Hawthorn each time. Don't know about this year though.

I think we might want to keep our pick 18 for any deal involving Charlie Cameron.

Swiss is good value culture wise, great bloke, after all his knee injuries a journeyman for sure but he's someone you would love at your club

I think the Hawks & Brisbane have the capacity to do a deal for 14 or 18 (14 please)
If Hodge, Doc, Swiss were to go (even 2 of them) & we threw pick 32 & 42 & they get Rocky offloaed for a first Rd they will still have some reasonable points for academy bids.
The Hawks have the trade currency to get back into the second & third rounds anyway... even if acquiring another late second to go with the one we have plus Hodge, Doc for (I'd be pushing 14) a first Rd pick wouldn't be out of reach.

Maybe???

Brisbane will not be trading away their first round pick for dead wood. They will rightfully only entertain that for Gunston, Rioli, Burton types. The experience they need is Hodge who will just walk there anyway so our other over 28's aren't worth much chop as they are not getting set for a premiership in the next couple of years. If they want whitex and or Doc, third round picks will get it done.

I certainly don't
Which is why he'd be perfect for a trade.

The idea that we should only trade players with flaws or who are cooked is self-serving, but ultimately not the way to go about it.

Poppy would be a very handy player around the feet of Lobbe, Patton and Cameron.

May need to add Pick 79 to one of these deals to get it over the line

Pick 25, 32, 41, 42 & 61 into the draft
Won't trade Duryea - he'll leave as a free agent.

Port looking like getting Motlop and Rockliffe so I'd imagine their Trengove compo will be gone regardless
Am I the only one wondering where they get the cash for all these players? They still have a bunch of players locked into long big money deals. How do they afford Rockliff, Motlop and Watts?
