There is so much talk that Carlton take all the out of contract Giants players.

There is a future at Hawthorn for Matt Kennedy - Blues want him but of all the players mentioned bar Gaff
I see enormous upside in Kennedy.
Have the hawks gone cold on him>
A 188cm mid/fwd, young, not injured, hawk mad as a kid please hawks make it happen.

Matthew
Kennedy

Height 188 cm
DOB 06-04-1997
Weight 89 kg
Debut 2016
Drafted from the GIANTS Academy, Matthew Kennedy is a medium forward/midfielder who is a prolific ball-winner and strong overhead. He missed national championships because of injury but was in outstanding form for the Rams in the TAC Cup. Has overcome his knee injury and returned to play for Collingullie late in the season. Kennedy made a splash in the AFL, kicking three goals on debut in round 13 against Essendon.
He kind of looks like someone's dad.. just 20 years younger.

Why would we not be in the picture to recruit Saad from Gold Coast? Is only 23 years of age, wants to return home to Melbourne, has speed to burn, is a solid user of the football and will only cost a second round pick.

We would be mad not to go after him and Kennedy from GWS, they are both exactly the young prospects that we need to rejuvenate the list.

Absolute madness if we don't at least throw our hats in the ring for these two

If Hawks got nothing for Hodge leaving Hawthorn then it would put me in a generally saad mood. I would be vickering all may. Btw, watts hodge even worth? I Tippa that he would be worth more than a rocky cliff.
I think Hawks should pull the lever and sell birch trees to get mohr funds for Dingley because as a Kennedy once said "don't think, do". I don't like it when Hawthorn go maynestream, I like it when we pull the string tying up the package.

Am I doing this right?

Does Rory Atkins appeal to anyone as a replacement for Brad Hill if he decides to leave Adelaide? Obviously only if the price is right and he agrees to never dye his hair again.

I keep hearing this but I seem to recall at least some noise from us on all of our recent pick ups some time before the trades were made.. You probably have to go back to 2011 to find our last "swoop"..

I agree that we get things done cleanly and behind closed doors but usually there is still some noise, even for our deals.

Think 2013 was our last swoop with McEvoy.

A stable club swoops. The mess behind the scenes at board level might put a spanner in the works.

Poppy was injured this year.
He played 15 games still. Irrespective of that his game style relies on a lot of gut running, at his age I'd be surprised if he can keep it up over a season - if someone comes in with a multi year offer I think we don't stand in his way, especially if it facilitates a trade and we're not going to offer him more than a year.
