Nah, I disagree. You're getting confused with the All Australian selection which has now descended to high farce.
Apart from the contrived win of Christopher Judd recently and the non win of Dane Swan two years ago it usually has a worthy winner.
Nat Fyfe is now having a game deciding influence on matches and if you're impact on a game affects the outcome , you are in medal winning company.
Agree, Fyfe has some work to do but there is no questioning that when he is on, he simply dominates the opposition. Even as young as he is opposition fans rate him very highly. He isn't just good at winning contested ball, he is one of the best in the league, and in the air he marks anything kicked near him. He doesn't just read the flight and position himself the best, he holds the marks he gets hands to. He makes decisions as quickly as anybody too, its very rare that you think he had a better option than the one he chooses. Also he isn't a player that relies on his team mates having big games to play his best footy. Even when Freo are getting out classed he still is able to dominate, like Cousins, Hird or Ablett jnr could/can.
The question will be if he can get his body right, both with injuries and getting the right fighting weight. Hopefully he isn't too big to run games out. But if he puts together a Brownlow year, it won't be a sneaky Woewodin or Judd of the Blues variety Brownlow.
