The newspaper is actually very good, some people just like to complain about anything.

Fair dinkum Kim, you must be trying to bait us.
The journos in this state are woeful.
It is highly likely I will never buy the West again and like I said, that gives me a sense of satisfaction.

"some people just like to complain about anything".[ ..... That is true, however complaining about football journalists in this state is entirely justified.
The West Coast infatuation is palpable.

Kim I respect you as a journalist, and the real frustration is not that The West is not a good paper, its more the impression i get that it as a stronger focus/positive articles towards the eagles. IMO The West ( a publicly listed company with shareholders) identifies the way to distribute the maximum number of newspapers possible to increase revenue.

As a former employee did your editors conduct any consumer research and identify that as there are more Eagles fans in WA and was in its best interest to skew articles to support the West Coast to sell more papers?

If the answer of the questions is No, then I'm wrong and happy to deal with that. If the answer is Yes, then there is a slight justification to the complaining.

"Fremantle defender Michael Barlow looks to be back to his ball-winning best after gathering 15 touches in the two 20-minutes halves..."

Also:
"However, quick goals to Travis Varcoe and Taylor Walker, and then the super goal by Selwood, saw the Cats scrape home."

(Sorry if I didn't cite it properly)

Wow! I'm going straight to the TAB to put some cash on Taylor Walker for the coleman Medal. If he can kick goals in a West Coast Vs Geelong Game, imagine how he'll go when he's actually playing!

STEVE Johnson looks set to miss Geelong's round one clash with Hawthorn after the Match Review Panel offered him a one-match ban for striking.

Johnson made contact with a swinging right arm to Fremantle tagger Hayden Ballantyne's midriff during their encounter at Patersons Stadium on Sunday.

Fremantle tagger ?
You just gotta laugh.
