Thought it's worth mentioning, might as well be in this thread that AFL Insider and On The Coach actually had pretty good discussion about our game on the weekend especially King who looked like he had a massive hard on talking about Lyons coaching.

Edit: Um, what E Shed said

If someone has the ability to post a clip of these it would be greatly appreciated.

Some love for us and particularly Ross & Son Son on the Fox shows tonight. Poor old Bucks had to front up on the Couch and explain having his arse handed to him by Ross and Rocket had to sit through David King dissecting how Freo cut the Pies up on Insider. Very entertaining night.
Can someone put these up on the net so we can watch them on here :thumbsu:. David King is actually pretty good with his analysis.

Interestingly he chose Mzungu as an example of team defence/running in patterns. showed some footage of the Pies winning possession in our forward half and taking the ball along the boundary all the way to the other end. during that time Mz runs in the middle of the ground waiting for the ball to be brought inside to the corridor. as Collingwood continue to hug the line he just runs in parallel end to end. finally when the centring play comes Mz joins the contest and spills the ball free for our backs to run away with.
Have to wonder how many of these end to end patterns he runs in a game!

I don't have Foxtel and one of my mates at work came in and told me this analysis they did, I was pretty stocked to hear the detail they went into.

Im really keen to see a clip of this what they were talking about.

Looks like Brad Elborough (???) doesn't know who Gareth is either
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/age-footballer-of-the-year-round-7-votes-20130512-2jgg7.html

FREMANTLE v COLLINGWOOD
(Brad Elborough)
Michael Walters (Fremantle) 7
Michael Barlow (Fremantle) 6
Dane Swan (Collingwood) 6
Ryan Crowley (Fremantle) 6
Steele Sidebottom (Collingwood) 5

Gareth only played a maximum of a 5 out of 10 game
I know of this guy, part timer in my building (EDU central office) just runs some CMS web designing courses which we don't use and generally forget about once you walk out the door. Part-time writer for Perthnow and i'm pretty sure is an eagles supporter.

Didn't watch 360 tonight, but is whately still crying about the kelly suspension? Was hardly the worst injustice in the game, but the way he was whinging last night was completely over the top. Anyone know what he said the fyfe suspension?
Whately is a good caller, and can be insightful and reasonable, but he needs to be upfront that his impartiality falls apart when talking about Geelong.

Yep they were still crying about it and then showed 2 other incidents on the weekend where head contact was made but both players got off.
They didnt believe any should be suspended but if 1 was suspended then the other 2 should of been suspended also.
Then once again bought up the Lyndsey thomas incident from earlier in the year where it clearly shows 2 heads clashing, not shouder to head contact which is what gets penalised.

Robbo loves Lyon now also, and listened to his 6pr interview on why he was sitting on the bench at 3quarter time.
Lyon joked that an assistant dropped the magnetic board so had to put them all back in place then someone told him put zac in ruck and walters midfield, so thats how it all happened.

I believe Ross was joking around when he mentioned dropping magnets and one of the other blokes suggesting the player movements.

He meant all that on the day.

Yep he 100% meant it was all planned, but instead of saying he sat down and thought about what to do for a few mins and went with those ideas.
He played it down and joked about how it came about.

The James Kelly incident stunk. Fair and square bump. How sof t do we want our precious game to get.
Fyfe raised his leg into a man and intentional or not should never have appealed .

Agreed with the Kelly thoughts.

Re: Fyfe, I think everything worked out in the end. We got the 8 points, got the chance to be impressed by Sutty/Croz, Fyfe is happy that the club backed him in against the odds, he's cherry ripe and hungry to take on Sydney... everyone's a winner!*

*Unless he wins the Brownlow count. Then I take it all back.

Freo will never win a Brownlow. Just gotta look at the "official AFL" player stats to see how we are considered.

Prepared to be proven wrong but in our 40+ win over Gold Coast I'm betting Ablett polls as well as Swann in our 27 point drubbing of Collingwood.

Wouldn't happen if the tables were turned.

"...However, the Eagles, sparked by the unlikely Stephen Hill, with three goals, kicked the last three majors of the match."

Seems fairly damn unlikely to me, too.

Oh my.

and then this...

It was a grandstand finish to an epic match,

Who is this muppet? Just because a game is close does not make it an epic match. It was a very ordinary game of football if you take the scoreline out of it.

I've got Fox but don't have a clue about how to get it from the tele to the computer, but you can access some of their stuff like selected bits of On the couch etc from their website.

WAFL
Andrew Embley had 28 possessions for Swan Districts in a 20-point loss to East Perth.

Blayne Wilson played well for East Perth in a tagging role and looks likely to be considered to make his debut for the Eagles.

Small forward Ashton Hams was a livewire for South Fremantle kicking three goals against Peel Thunder.
