I know it's a big ask for certain people to calm down and have a rational look at this year compared to last, but we have improved and tracking in the right direction with a very young team.

We've had a much better second half to the year than last year where we were getting flogged and never looked like winning.

We should've beaten Hawthorn and Sydney but for goal kicking and took it Freo in Perth. Yes the Richmond game was bad, every team has a couple of bad games every season, ours were Richmond, Melbourne and Geelong.

Bucks has us on the right path
Hard to argue with the facts in your post but I'll be mischievous and add a few more if I may.
We looked completely outclassed against the Crows and the Eagles, never looked like beating the Dogs, played North, Hawthorn, Freo and Sydney at an opportune time and were 3 points up with 10 minutes to go against a clearly tanking carlton.
There's an obvious an inevitable improvement in our younger players, our best became slightly better, we haven't been at our worst as often but also had a better luck with injury and easier draw, so on the whole this and last season are on par IMO.

I know. It' surprising isn't it. Normally club captains come out publicly and do the opposite. Just like subordinates do generally in any field of endeavor.:thumbsu:
Cloke has also thrown his support behind our coach all of a sudden but for some reason we are meant to believe Bucks when he says he's not worried about a contract extension. i.e. watch this space :(

Interesting reading all of the posts, as I said when I posted earlier on in this thread, you all just have to give Bucks some time, whether he is the right man for the job or not........time will tell. Correct me if I'm wrong...but Bucks has one more year remaining on this contract so 2016 is is last year contract wise?
After the completion of the 2016 season I think we will know more about Collingwood going forward.

You all are just going to have to ride it out, I did it with my team and many many thousands of Richmond supporters for 30-odd years, what Collingwood is going through (bad performances onfield) at the moment is only scraping the service to what Richmond has gone through. Richmond has been to hell and back many time.

So Pies fans.......time is the best thing in this situation.

That's a very good read, thanks.

Although they let overly used phrases get in the way of the facts. "Magpies will be on holiday during September" is technically incorrect given this week's match is on 6th Sept.

Not having a go at your post, but I want to know what evidence there is that Carlton was 'clearly tanking'. We played awful football, they played awful football, but our football was less awful than theirs.

Given that they came out and pasted the Dees the next week, doesn't that seem to suggest that there's no merit in the tanking claim?

What I expect Bucks is building towards and I hope we get there in the next two years.

I like it
Sacrifice the me for we

Ahem on bigfooty not that much self sacrifice ;)

I have not seen any thing yet to say we are shit, quiet the opposite the club, buckley and his team are going in the right direction

Its better thangood, some steps forward, fumble, steps forward etc
And if we get this right the list then hopefully can deliver success x years!

Do
I just want it on record that i think Bucks will coach our next premiership.

It's inevitable that when he starts doing well everybody will jump on the bandwagon and say they've always backed him, just like early this year...

But i trust Bucks wholeheartedly, we are exactly where we were expected to be prior to the year given our age profile. Throw in injuries and being on the fringe of the eight isn't so bad. We are still travelling in the right direction.

I'll see you guys back here somewhere between 2016-18 to rub it in.
Do you still back Buckley and do you think the team is going in the right direction ?
You know heaps about football
