I really thought reports of us trading Shiel, Lobb and Scully were just more more scuttlebutt with the players contracted and our time being now.
We do get it every year so it seemed like good bet. I was shocked to the core initially.
I'm reconciled though as the club revealed it's position, in general terms. A controlled adjustment this year was preferred to potentially a really bad outcome next year with a lot if players reaching FA or OOC.
Scully and Setterfield in particular I hope recover brilliantly and star for their new clubs. Matthew's said we weren't prepared to shop Scully around, and it had to be their call, but I'm a but uncomfortable trading injured players out nevertheless.
Shiel and Lobb I absolutely harbour no ill will, but they're outstanding players in the their prime, I have no doubt they'll do well.
