This time last year I was on record as saying Richmond wouldn't make the 2018 finals. Clearly I was reading too much into the Bulldogs' slide after their flag.

This may be a bad idea but when I heard someone recently tell me that it's common to make an opinion and argue it vehemently that it often doesn't change through stubbornness, and even though you end up in the wrong, you then twist things to make your point.
Heaps of people do that on here. They're supposed to be Adults too. Men. But they're just pussies.

I was wrong about West Coast this year. I thought they were pretenders and were going to make the Grand Final only to lose it by 10 goals. At one point I didn't even think they would make the granny after losing 3 straight games. Very wrong indeed.

Well played West Coast.

I was wrong about Mason Cox.

This thread should be full of Collingwood supporters being wrong about Buckley, 90% of them on BF wanted him gone but they'll tell you different now.

Mmmm well Dons supporters certainly have a history of vehement opinions being proven unfounded also.

Not that I'm biased on that account - Essendon were simply the unlucky ones who got caught.

Yeah the ridicule the poor guy has copped since crossing to Collingwood, was perfect setup up for him to be a GF hero, so close to happening.
Somewhere in an alternate universe Mayne charges up the field with a minute to go and kicks a goal putting the Pies back in front, winning the Norm Smith and becoming immortalised in Collingwood lore.

Collingwood then proceeds to win 16 consecutive Grand Finals in which Mayne wins the Norm Smith in each of these games :)

Most of us are pretty happy with how reality panned out.
