That's a silly idea. Why can't we win gracefully? No need to rub it in (they are already in the record books), and IF we do lose it would be rather embarrassing.

I will, Mum and I were thinking about maybe going to this game so if we do I'll add a 9 onto my guernsey (already have "11" on it) and wear it. :thumbsu:

You're kidding right?

Who gives a **** if we lose in round one? We won when it matters. I actually think they will beat us by 5 or so goals to try and get 'even', but I don't care if we don't beat Port in the next 10 years.

Well I would, but
1. I'm not going
2. I believe that number is too big to fit on the back of a jumper :thumbsu::D
I thought it would be too... but BDP will have no worries getting 3 numbers on the back of his jumper.

Also "1"s dont take up too much room I suppose. Only the nine would.
Lol, I am thinking too much about this arent I.

Anyway, funny idea. Make sure you post pics of your (bashed) face after round one ok BDP. :thumbsu:

I'll be at the game, but I won't have 119 on my jersey. I don't think they need to have their noses rubbed into it any more than they have.

To be honest, outside of the match itself, I have actually found Port Adelaide fans to be among the best I've sat around and had beers with. They know their footy, are passionate about it, and what happens inside the ground usually stays there.

I spent a lot of time talking to some of them after the GF this year, and apart from being gutted with the final margin, were magnanimous in defeat, and effusive in their praise of our awesome performance.

Now if we were in Perth playing the Eagles after thumping them in a GF by 119 points, i'd have that number taped, sewn, tattooed, drawn, whatever, onto every square millimetre of available space on my body.

Pretty much exactly matches my opinion of them. We chatted to some at Y&Js before the Grand Final, then I actually stood next to two Port supporters during the game itself. Despite the fact there were about 200 Geelong lunatics jumping all over each other for the last half (even I was doing it!), they stayed to the very end and were quite generous with their congratulations.

Then, many many drinks later I met a few at the Charles Dickens (after the Fed Square presentation) and had that reinforced further. I've got no problem with Port fans at all.

If it were Hawthorn on the other hand.........

Nar any team's good enough, I just want port to remember, Unless they come back to the GF any time soon and flog us by a close figure, then they will forever be our biatch.
Not just any team is good enough. (I kinda have a soft spot anyway for the poor Dogs). Anyway, if Essendon lost a GF to us, I would do much more than just wearing a pissy jumper for starters.

Spray painting the town of Essendon navy and white for example. :)

Yup. Without any question at all. Do a Squizzy Taylor on what remains of their home ground.

Not sure about Essendon though. Although I do remember playing Essendon once and seeing a fight in the crowd at the 1 minute mark of the first quarter (KP 1993, when we won our last 5). They're an educated lot.

Ahhh, I missed that game cause I was ill. :(

Hahaha... educated. You're taking the piss arent you? "Arrogant SOBs" would come to mind first when describing Essendon supporters.

They seemed to change very suddenly too. I remember for a long time they were predominantly knuckle-dragging thugs from Keilor, then all of a sudden in the mid-90s they became latte-sipping shirtlifters shouting out "Go Jimmy". It was quite strange.

Quite correct Shell, I was taking the piss in epic proportions.
