I don't get all this bagging about Jako is about???

I can't work it out.

Hes only 28 - a lot younger than many other players in the competition.

He just won his 4th best and fairest (admittedly, a club which was ordinary in 2000) and he was very unlucky not to be in the All Australian team

Someone, please tell me why this guy is long past his best

Well WCE2000 im as stumped as you are. I think he is close to his best and should be great for us this year.

After setting such high standards during his career anything that is not at that level is considered ordinary for him.(even though it's better than most other players performances)

I know i have been one of those to critisise him, but it was all constructive. I did not, nor did anyone else on this forum 'bag' him. We all said that maybe he needs to think about the way he is playing as he is being beaten by his opponent more and more often.

He is still young and could be an All-Australian again, but not if he plays like he did last week.

He still is, and will be one of the best players in our team, and in the league, for a few years to come. I understand the criticism but also think that some of it is unfair.

The guy is coming off a broken ankle, not the best preperation for the season. It will take time for him to regain speed. But don't expect him to run with the lean guys. He has a heavy build and will never be a sppedy guy like Ash.
