Would any of you take our second draft pick and Beau Dowler in trade week for one of your fringe backman?

Bit hard to answer unless you specify the particular defender. If Warnock is 1 such defender, I can't see the club letting him go unless Hawthorn put up a pretty decent offer and given the improvement in our forward line this year Dowler has less currency compared to 12 months ago. In any case Warnock is a keeper for mine.

R&B is right. Warnock is a keeper. Can't really say I know much about the Hawks list so again please enlighten me.

Muston is a nice up and comer but not enough with your 2nd draft pick IMO. The situation for you guys is that (on this particular occasion) MFC would have the upper hand as we have a specific player you guys are after and we have no reason to trade him unless we get an offer we can't refuse. I couldn't see the club trading him tbh.

To entertain the disussion though, if you got another first round pick or very early 2nd rounder from a seperate trade it would be closer to the mark. You have to remember this years draft is compromised and Warnock is in very good form and is historically a non-injury prone player unlike Gibson.

why do you want to offload your fringe players. Warnock may be a fringe player for us but that is just because we have frawley and garland that are ahead of him.

Morton is the only one that interests me out of that lot. I really rate the morton boys.

Getting closer now, the club would at least consider that IMO, I don't mind Muston but the club would have it's work cut out evaluating him as he hasn't played many senior games and is 23.

Forgetting circumstancial factors, ie other possible picks we will gain from other trades from say Bruce (real estate on our senior list is at a premium next year - we are hard up for finding spots for the draft) and MFC's actual evaluation of the draft, it might get the job done.

Unfortunately I haven't seen much of Dowler to comment and I'm not sure if we need another Morton.
