Those two goals from 60m on the run compared to a 40m set shot which fell into his lap. My hero.

One player very happy, one sulking. - another difference.
I think the goals you kicked in the 3rd Q were far more telling than the Davis goal. To say Buckley doesn't influence the result is just ignorant grayham. Look at games we win and say that. Even if you look at games we lose, Buckley's 30+ possessions are a big part of why we rarely got smashed with such an ordinary list for about 3 or 4 years. Buckley can only win the contested ball and take the lose ball so often. Others have to do likewise. If Collingwood had a ruckman of had Tarrant kicked straight in the 3rd Q of the GF people would be saying Buckley won a premiership off his own back. He is a dominant midfielder in a team that gets beaten badly in the ruck every single week. That is nothing short of phenomenal just on its own.Originally posted by grayham
I think you mean Nafan Buckley. Some poetic justice in that.
Its hard to confuse the two. Buckley gets hundreds of possesions but cant influence the result of a game, Davis gets one or two possessions, and seals it.
Quality over quantity.

The only thing I like about Nafan is his kicks from 50-55m (quite possibly the best on the run at 50m in the league.. there I said it!)
Pity the rest of your midfield doesn't kick goals like Adelaide or Brisbane's does.....
But be fair... one of those that rolled through was when there was no one, and I repeat no one within 30m of the goal square... nice long kick yes, no defenders home yes
