Tonight made me sick. So many Bandwangoners there.

I had 1 bloke in particular in front of me. He had a brand new scarf and a brand new guernsy on. So brand new that it actually had the tag hanging off the back which i told him about!!!! and guess what! by the start of the last qtr they were gone!

i politely told many other people as they were leaving that they were bandwagoners, only to receive abuse, or "im just going to the toilet", no balls to own up that they just wanted to get to their car 4 min early.

well let me tell you, id rather 20 000 true supporters at the game, than 40 000 bandwagoners.

I don't mind them jumping on when the going is good, as long as they don't jump off when it's not.

Last time we had a massive surge in the bandwagon (around 03/04) we managed to retain most of them.

There were some shocker near us. Didn't know the players names. Bagged out everything and everybody when the game started going against us. They acted like it was a TV show and we were supposed to win to make their night at the footy a good time but when the script didn't work out they wanted their money back. Painful.

I don't have a problem with bandwagoner's as much as I do with some of the supporters who consistently bag our players and Mark Harvey when they have so little knowledge of the actual game. The amount of times I have heard people behind me say "Just kick it forward' when there is obviously no one to kick it to is unbelievable. What makes it worse is when we eventually do end up kicking it and they complain when we turnover the ball.

Tonight was a bit of a bad night for this but overall I thought that the 'bandwagoners' made it a pretty good atmosphere - at least for the first 2 and a half quarters.

By the end of the night i had 4 spare seats either side of me. is pretty sad to see. Would never think of leaving a game early, It's really disapointing to see people do it, but watching joffa (is that his name?) put on that yellow jacket was enough to make me want to leave, but i didnt!

i tell yea what, i heard more atmoshphere in the neesham days with 20 000 people than tonight. thought the croud was largely outcheered by the pies fans

Apparently it was the biggest non derby crowd for a Freo home game.

Can anybody tell me how big the Collingwood contingent was? Before the game on TV they showed a fair bit of black and white in the stands, and there was a bit of noise during some of Collingwoods goals.

This! Then 5 minutes later if we kick long to a contest they moan because we didn't hit a target. Some people are truly clueless! Its amazing how many people don't understand the concept of the switch! "Why are we kicking sideways?" That and blaming McPhee when he's not even near the ball! I won't deny that he was very average tonight but hey even Tarrant was pushed off the ball by Cloke!

Mate HUGE collingwood contingent. Big squad behind the goals including joffa and quite a few around the ground. They really let us know about it after the game too.

How the f**k can someone like Joffa, who comes across as slightly above a homeless bum in society's pecking order, afford to fly across the country to watch a game of footy?

I'm guessing Eddie pays for him since he's some kind of official Collingwood celebrity these days.

Get over yourself, you moron.

This sort of stuff happens with 'supporters' from ALL teams. Clueless idiots that call for free kicks when they aren't there, and leave early when the team isn't winning.
Every team has them unfortunately.

To be honest though while there was a few that left early, nothing like what has been happening at eagle games lately, that was heartening.

I can only comment on what I saw on TV, and compared to other teams facing similar results, it looked like the majority stayed put even when it was getting very ugly scoreboard wise in the last quarter. Perhaps even our bandwagon fans are more passionate than many others :p

TBH bar lack of noise i thought the crowd was pretty good tonight, despite the result being determined early in the 4th almost everybody stayed until the final siren which is a really good reflection on our supporter base. In saying this it would be very disappointing if they jump off after a few losses

THAT WAS THE WORST GAME!!!!!!!!!
( I've seen of Freo all season. ;) )

Wasn't that bad though, just more questions over the midfield, maybe some were half done.

Yeah I kept an eye out to see how many people would leave in the final quarter (especially when Collingwood were slamming on the goals) but there was very little movement in the Three Tier Stand... one Freo fan even came back at the 29 minute mark! :D

Saw a few leaving but they weren't exactly pouring out. We were quiet though which I suppose isnt suprising but fair play to Collingwood they were there in numbers and made a lot of noise.

My problem was a bunch of 12/13 year olds behind me who got bored by about the 3rd quarter and spent the rest of the time screaming out crap.
