...20 hours.

Is this dangerous?

I'm gonna go to sleep at probably 3-4pm.

Making it over a day without sleep.

****.

It can be dangerous but instances of people harming themselves from lack of sleep are rare. Of course, if you're posting from behind the wheel of a Kenworth, or at the controls of a 767, or whilst performing brain surgery at a public hospital, it might be time to catch some zzzz's at the first available opportunity.

During my raving days, I once went for six nights without sleeping. It was getting pretty messy at the end. last thing I remember before passing out is reading the obituaries in the HUn and getting well freaked out.

stayed up one time from 7am-9am the next day (i had went to party that night).

I went 32 hours without sleep a few weeks back. At around that point it's about the same affect as your average blunts.

Right now, I'm clocking 37 hours sans sleep.

AND I'm smoking blunts.

You guys are lightweights.

Nevertheless.....time for a nap now, methinks.

My record is 80hrs. Believe it or not, that was when I was a kid. I was bored and had nothing better to do with my time. Now that I'm a bit older, I can't even effectively pull all nighters without the aids of substances.

Before water boarding came into widespread use, sleep deprivation used to be the favourite form of torture by the US military. Did you know also, that if you did nothing for an extended period of time, the first thing that would kill you is sleep deprivation?

I happened to read the obituaries today and a North man named Dennis died. I didn't know Dennis, incidentally he was a friend of a friend, but it always makes me sad when the family of the dearly departed identifies them with the Shinboners.
vale Dennis Vanstone...

I refuse to believe this would be your first all day no sleep-a-thon, Q.

It might be the first you can actually remember though?
Yep.

Was actually the first time I've stayed awake without:

* Alcohol
* Dope
* Sex

So terribly sad, ey?

Sad yes, boring yes. How does one pass so much time without those things?

Sleep deprivation is the very basic tool not so much of torture, but interrogation. Keep someone up for 72 hours and then tell them they can sleep for as long as they like if they simply answer a question with a yes/no, or identify someone in a picture is very effective.
