So where can you beat us?

I watched a fair bit of the melbourne game and it made me fearful, but was that a mistake

Our forward line is flexible and potent.
Kingy is coming good and with him and Otto our ruck is stable and improving
Our midfield is 10 players so hard to judge but it runs hard and is very good.
Our backline was our strength but has a bit of an hard time now covering massive talls. Which I am not to sure you have.

I am impressed by your list on paper, it looks okay. But as I said I really havent watched you guys much. I have recently moved to an apartment without FOX FOOTY ARRRGGGGGG :(

Can you guys tell me a bit about your team.

Cheers

p.s. good luck and feel free to f****** die if you beat us ;)

Though this thread might have been about a Robert Walls autobiography......

I can't see us winning this week but ill be surprised if its a blowout, i reckon Connolly will make this a scrap , plenty of numbers around the ball etc.

Your midfield may have too much pace for us and your tall forwards are a concern with the form of Polak and Thornton last week. Small forwards have been a problem in recent weeks and Shane Parker looks the best match up for both Ablett and Kingsley. The weather will also work in your favour with 13' and showers forecast. If Longmuir has a good game and our midfield lifts its intensity we're a chance. Freo by 8 points. Farmer to kick 6.

If its 13 with cold, hard Rain , then you guys must have broken a heap of mirrors or something, middlle of May and its hardly rained since I dont know when. Maybe you should play over here more , help the Farmers out

Question, Ive always thought the key to your improvement would be your KPP.
Pavlich at CHF seems to have worked well but Ive hardly heard anything on Polak and another kid I thought there was wraps on, Murphy at FF. Have these guys progressed or are they treading water. The other thing is you guys are very hard to read, world beaters or fairly ordinary, its a week to week thing. Is there one player who is the Litmus test. When on , you win etc?

If it's 13 degrees then it will be three times warmer than when Freo last played at Skilled/Kardinya Stadium/Park. Jeffery might play in a full bodysuit.

When Freo are on, Headland seems to win.

Although I guess that's not what you were thinking.

I'd say Pav, but he's always on, and we're still no good.

Honours would probably go to Bell (when he has an inspirational game, we usually play alright as a team), Hase (has been ordinary this season much like us) and J.Lo, if he has a blinder in the ruck it usually negates how poor we are at getting the ball out of the middle.

if we play like we did against melbourne or collingwood, you will most probably lose. this will be because of fierce contests through the midfield, direct football and massive goalkicking power, a team ably led by mathew pavlich

if, and what is far more likely, we play like we did against essendon and hawthorn, then you will strangle us at the stoppages, take advantage of our frequent errors and flog us on the scoreboard to the tune of 12+ goals.

i seriously doubt it will be anything in between.

No offence dude but your thread is a pretty silly one.
You are a F******HEAD!
You want us to tell you abit about our team???
No I would like you to give me a run down on the Cats.

Thanks to all the others who have given me some insight into your team

How has medhurst been playing? In the bits and pieces I have seen he has been really quiet. Also polak, haselby and headland. How have they all been going. I saw glimpses of headland and he looked alright but not brilliant.

It's like this. When Greg Chappel was asked after getting 5 ducks in a row how he felt about his batting he answered along the lines of " Dunno I'm never in long enough to find "

Some with abovementioned players. We cant tell how they are playing because they never get the ball.

you would probably react the same way buddy.
Your question was pretty vague? can you tell me abit about your team?
Here is more information for you about our team.

We have 22 players, 18 of which are on the ground at any one stage. Normally only about 12-14 of these players actually try/ are any good. We have the worlds best car salesman as a coach.

To beat us is quiet simple. Start a fight at the start of the match, make sure you get into all the soft players like dion woods so they go into their shell. Then simply play tough footy and you will win by 6 goals or more.

If you play un-contested, or as Ken Judge calls it "one day footy" then we are very good at that and can beat anybody.

End of rant..........

Telling me to ******** off was stupid, you took it far too personal. If you really want someone to sit down and explain how our team plays, and who is in it go and call white line fever, and speak to robert shaw.

Sorry if i offended you, but if i came on the geelong board and said that, someone on there would react the same way.

LOL…no problem dude. I didn’t take it to personally just thought if I was up for a bit of a caining that I might sh*t stir you a bit back. The rest of your thread is actually pretty entertaining and somewhat insightful. You seem a bit angry though, which I don’t think is just directed at me. Oh and don’t worry, you jump in the Geelong board and ask that question and you will only get one thing. Every person in there telling you about how great we are!!! Which is almost as rude. Don’t know if I am going to call WLF to have a chat with Shaw any time soon.

That was a classic post

I can somewhat understand but from the feeling around your board you feel like you are at a real crossroad. I am actually a bit worried now as if your team feels the same way you are really after a big scalp and the second best side in the league may be a good place to start. Our team plays very accountable football so if you are hoping to switch to this style of play you may find a team that is far to used to it. Having said that it has been hard to be accountable the last couple of weeks.

M Carr out. Big hole?

Huge hole. He has been one of our top 3 players this year IMO and will be missed. You only have to look at how we went at the end of last year without him.

Big test of character this week but I can't see us getting up let alone close.
Where there is life there is hope I suppose.

Another thing i should have mentioned. When we are under just about any pressure we always cave in. It shows that sadely the melbourne game was the exception.

I have a bad feeling like we won by our first 100 point margain a few weeks back. We will be on the opposite side of things this week. Everything is against us, injuries and the weather.

Medhurst was playing well until a fortnight ago, it's tough being a small forward when your midfield gets belted. I expect him to play well this week. Polak had knee surgery about 6 weeks ago, played the last 2 games but is underdone. Hasleby has been carrying an injury and only played about half the game against the hawks and might not play this week. Des has had 3 or 4 very good games but had a shocker last week. The media has been getting stuck into him this week and a big game is required. Murphy played a couple of games at the start of the season and was okay without standing out, but with McPharlin moving forward there hasn't been a spot for him. Will be a quality forward with time.
