... that after this effort today that Harvey & co are ruthless in their assessment of the list.

Murphy - trade.
Macca - tell him it's over.
Crowley - get a rocket up him.
MCarr - one year performance based contract only (at the most).
Johnno - tell him days like today will not be tolerated.
Mundy - tell him to Harden the F*** Up.

Play the young blokes for these next two games.

Gotta feel for Foster, doesn't even get a chance to prove his form for East today.

Next week against Melbourne bring all the young kids in.

Dunn is also looking good at the stoppages for East as well. Could he be a shock call up.

I thought Mundy was good and Macca was alright after the first quarter.... but I agree his time is up and the problem remains our midfield cannot win the ball and he is a part of the midfield.

Foster must play next week.

I actually thought Mundy was one of our better players - but he needs to be consistent. I even saw him lay a shepherd at one stage... please more David because you are a very talented footballer.

He crunched Hayes in the first quarter and Hayes was slow to get up... He didn't shirk from it either!! But I have admitted Mundy is my favourite player :o

For sure. There's only two matches left anyways. Let the Cookiemonster have his two matches as well to get 150 before he retires.

Mundy, Johnno, Murphy and Crowley are our younger blokes so dont drop them the more games the better they will become.
McManus needs to be dropped yes he had lots of the ball but what did he do with it? He needs to learn that, I know this is a new rule(taking him awhile to come to grips),That your not allowed to tackle around the neck!!! He should learn from Solly or dont tackle at all.

The big thing was that Warnock and Gilmore didnt work that well today and will struggle for the next 2 as they are not taking teams by surprise now. Saints looked liked they put alot of work and thought into them.

Maybe they should try something else? Johnno/ as a pitchhitters in the ruck??

ita laa bout 2008 now.

I'm with you IP I hope Harvey and Shaw( I have no confidence in the rest of the current footy dept)are very ruthless in their assessments.

Murphy is a tough one, the club needs to decide if he can return to his best at Freo or if he needs the change. We waited 12 months too long to trade Polak and like Polak I reckon Murphy will improve considerably if he spends 12 months under a more disciplined coach, but might need the change of environment to realise that. Murphy has the potential to really bite us on the backside depending on what we get in return at the trade table.

I thought Mundy played his best game for the year today. Haven't noticed him hit a contest half arsed in the last moth and his attack on the ball was top notch today.

McManus falls over more than an Italian soccer player.

Interesting I.P.

I seem to re-call that you championed Murphy a fair bit in the past, and clearly remember pasting CC for not leaving him in for an extended run of games "to find his feet" regardless of how he played.

What has brought about this sudden turnaround?

IMO Murphy-unsure
Macca-one year
Crowely-agree
Mcarr-gone
Mundy-agree(looks like has been told already)
johnno-Perhaps the crap suspention effected him this year.If it was me I would of been quite shattered

These players were below their potential yesterday:

Johnson (fumbled and generally had a bad day)

Peake (can't win a clearance at all - good in the spaces though)

Murphy (what is he doing out there?)

I thought Mundy was very good.:thumbsu:

3 shockers in succession. Sub-10 possession games and a return of just the 1 goal. If he had shown something in at least one of the games then I might think differently, but he's shown pretty much bugger-all all year at this level.

But I liked the way you got in a plug for CC there, and a subtle reference to the "whiteant" thing. That was the actual intention, wasn't it?

Murphy season has showed us nothing of his abilities and it's a real shame, we all know it's there. He must not be in his head because he has had enough chances now where we should be able to guage his worth next year.

Drum and Collard showed more potential in their short stints this year than Murphy, the showed they can deliver. It's about time Drum got a run again.

Are you suggesting he may have "an agenda"? Heaven forbid, IP, heaven forbid...
