Uni exams are killing me atm.

here here. Mine are half over though.

Last night i tried to start a 2nd game on my laptop (1st one hasn't crashed) but I just couldn't bring myself to it. I wanted something different from the premiership but then again the premiership is my favourite.

I've pulled off a bit of a transfer coup with Ajax. I've had it with Bergdolmo and is crapness (he has cost me 7 goals this season, 2 penalties  ) so I went searching. Guess who was available? Phillipe Mexes, for 2.5 million!

When he arrives - December 31st - he'll be first choice centre half along with Cristian Chivu, with Hatem Trabelsi and the ever brilliant Maxwell as the right and left fullbacks respectively.

Although this is 02/03's data, you can already tell Jari Litmanen is declining rapidly. He's only managed to put together three consecutive games this season, which is a shame because he's a club legend.

Zlatan is improving as a forward. In one match, against Hereenveen at the ArenA (I ended up losing 0-1 though), he created a lot of chances. Considering this IS two years ago, that's pretty good.

I currently sit equal 4th on the table, with NAC. I hit some real bad form where I lost three in a row and dropped to ninth. That form wasn't helped by a combination of injuries (Litmanen, Maxwell, Trabelsi), suspensions (Zlatan, Van Der Vaart, Galasek - twice) and my team being Dutch, thus missing three penalty kicks. Losing to Feyenoord at De Kuip was bad, but I'm lucky I've been fixtured to face PSV and Feyenoord at the ArenA after the Winter Break.

In the Champions League, I'm in third. My group, however, is topped by Manchester United with Real Madrid in second, so I think finishing third to them is a decent effort for a club teh size of Ajax. UEFA Cup is pretty much definite, which isn't so bad - it's a very weak UEFA Cup lineup this year with the only "big" clubs left being Lazio, Parma and Villa.

Things are looking good for the Ajaccied.

HUP AJAX!

HUP AJAX!

Your doing not bad, i have played with ajax as well and psv dominated every season so i gave up until i made one of the best signings that i have ever made, his name is jose antonio guayre i think and hes a forward from villareal, he averaged 9s for a whole year just amazing.

Yeah, PSV are leading at the moment. At one stage I was 14 points behind them, now I'm only three.

1. PSV
2. Feyenoord
3. Hereenveen
4. Ajax

This run of form I've hit has been helped by Bogdan Lobont not being complete crap ;). Mido has turned into a goal scoring machine, he got four when Ajax beat NAC 5-0 and De Graafschap 4-0.

Playing with Ajax is interesting. There is heaps of pressure to win as you'd expect, but there is so much quality in this team I can play about four different formatons. Some of the ones I've tried:

4-4-2 (Usually go with this one):
Lobont
Trabelsi Van Damme Chivu Maxwell
Van Der Meijde O'Brien Galasek Van Der Vaart
Pienaar Ibrahimovic

4-3-3 (Usually used when I'm 2-0+ up):
Lobont
Trabelsi Van Damme Chivu Maxwell
Van Der Meijde Galasek Van Der Vaart
Pienaar Ibrahimovic Mido

4-2-3-1 (More defensive):
Lobont
Trabelsi Van Damme Chivu Maxwell
Galasek O'Brien
Van Der Meijde Pienaar Van Der Vaart
Ibrahimovic

3-1-2-1-3 (Rarely used):
Lobont
Trabelsi Chivu Maxwell
Galasek
Van Der Meijde Van Der Vaart
Litmanen
Pienaar Ibrahimovic Mido

What I've learnt with Ajax is that if you score first, you'll probably end up putting 3-4 passed them. Leaving it late with Ajax isn't a good idea, IMO.

Yeah, O'Brien is quality. He, Galasek and the emerging Nigel de Jong (way too young to be playing first team on CM4) work well together. Often I take Galasek off and send de Jong in there, and de Jong is an able replacement for Galasek who's often suspended - he picks up a lot of yellows as you probably know.

Me and a mate made our own update it's pretty nice. So I just felt like going with a big club first up I went with AC. Going nice so far going to reach quarters of the Champs League. 1st in Seria A still 14 matches to go though. Italian Cup final.

On my other game I had a good Man utd game going. Won the premier league 3 years in a row in my first 3 years. Won the FA cup and the League cup. Made the champs league final each year but only won it once in my first year. Came second in the world cup with Austria.

I'll probably start a game with a lower league english team.

Looking for a good defender? Ibrahim Said, awsome buy.

My standing with Ac Milan at the moment is

21 Played, 17 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses, 65 Goals For, 20 goals Against, 52 pts

Current AC Milan Team:

GK:---------Eleftheropolous-------
Defence:-----Nesta---Ibrahim Said---

AMC:--------------Seedorf--------

Bench:prilo, Ambrosini, Cafu, Dida(GK), Inazghi, Overmars, Tsigalko

Julius Aghahowa

Ibrahim Said
Cherno Samba
Juan Sara
JAvier Saviola
Maxim Tsigalko
Raphael Van Der Vaart
Isaak Okoronkwo

Dimitris Eleftheropoulos (best goalie in game)

Awsome players most of them are really or pretty cheap also

Just finished my season with Ac Milan.

Won the Seria A with 12 points infront of Roma

34 played, 28 wins, 2 draws,4 loses, 98 goals for, 30goals against

Pretty Pleased with that I havent won the Scudetto to often.

Made the Italian Cup Final but lost to Roma.

Won the Champions League with a 2-1 win over Arsenal with Thierry Henry scoring the winner against his old side :D. I had easy group stages in the Champs League but the I drew Barcelona in the quarters and Roma in the semi's. But yeah good season overall.

Updates any one

I think using good player lists like that not only makes it way easier but takes most of the fun out of it.

Much of the fun for me is looking around and finding good players myself. It's a great feeling when you find that player that couple of players that complete the dynamic and allow you to win back to back UEFA Cups & Premier Leagues :D

Yeah, it is more fun when you discover a talent. I bought Salvatore Aurellio from Genoa (Serie B) and brought him to Ajax, and stuck him in U18's. He's scored 24 goals for Ajax 2 so far. I also have Gabriele Bazzoni from Torino (Serie B) as a reserve. Both are strikers.

A bit like Wenger, I'm not one to buy the massively priced players. I've got Ugandans playing for Ajax 1 (reserves team), if I sold them I'd get 2-3 million for them each.

While Ajax are a big club in Holland, it's an almighty challenge in Europe with them. Of course, they [UEFA] could've made it easier on me by not having a ****ing international friendly on the same night I had to play Schalke at home in a UEFA Cup tie, ended up losing 1-3 on aggregate.

I'm in third at the moment, four points behind PSV and Feyenoord. My last league match was against PSV and I won 2-0, thanks to a goal by Pienaar and a penalty by van der Vaart. Next up is Feyenoord at the ArenA, and then Heerenveen in the semi final of the Dutch Cup.

I'd have done well to get 2nd or 3rd and win the Dutch Cup after that terrible run of form I hit.

Yeah i discovered a lot of those plaeyers i listed. It's still pretty fun i don't buy them all the time, I also love discovering new talent.

I just started a new game with Stuttgart in the bundesliga. They are pretty poor. Brought in some good free transfers of Kanu, Overmars, Kluivert and Wiltord.

Sitting second in the bundes 3 points behind dortumund half way through the season and going well in champs league

Final position at the end of my first season in the Eredivisie, was third. PSV won the thing with Feyenoord ahead of him, I was only four points away from winning the league in what has been a disappointing season for Ajax.

In the final of the Dutch Cup against PSV.

I like going through the European U/21 sides, you can find some pretty good (and cheap) talent there.

Agreed....he was a superstar for me. I have to resist buying him everytime I start a new league. I try to use different players but Samba is a gun, wonder what he is like in real life.

I've gone through the offseason and am about to start the season aiming for my 3rd straight premier league title. My list is ageing, most of my top players are 31+ so I have been investing a lot in youth.

Odds have come out for the season, I am 2-1 and the next best is Arsenal on 8-1...I am raging favourites alright (though I lost the community shield to FA Cup holders Liverpool....there you go jod:D).

btw, it is now 2011, since 1996 the only teams to win or come 2nd in the PL have been Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Man Utd.

I am also controlling England and have won 7 out of 7 in the Euro qualifiers, and Rooney & Owen are still the two strikers I use.

Got bored of stuttgart

Now im Bradford City second div

nearing end of season i have a commanding lead on top and just secured my pl spot.

I'm in pre-season now ... boy, I am so glad there is a winter break for Dutch clubs in January. African Cup of Nations - I'd lose Mido, Pienaar and Trabelsi!

Have brought in a 21 year old Turk from Anderlecht as backup for Galasek and O'Brien, and I'm looking at taking Kluivert in on loan after Barca went on a striker spree ... bought Totti AND Cassano from Roma.

Hopefully it goes through!

Ive officially ended ties with championship manager.

I got everton, in 3 seasons I had an awesome team, made the uefa cup twice, got to the champions league semi finals (lost 1-0 to milan).. all my players were young guns, had money coming from everywhere... 50 mil pounds clear... then in my 4th season I start the season 2 wins 2 draws and 3 losses... and they SACK ME

My team was

Richard Wright
G. Johnson - Yobo - Lescott - Mceveley
Gamst Pedersen - Deco - Etuhu - Farnerud
Vittek - Rooney

Simonsen (GK), Tomasson, Roque Junior, Symes, Tonge on my bench...

Aswell as good players like Sean Davis, Sean Wright-Phillips etc in my reserves

I recommend these young players

Farnerud
Vittek
Symes
Etuhu
Tonge
McEveley
Beck
Cisse
Schumacher
Kygriakos
Konstantinou
Martins (best player in the game, but hard to buy)

Anyway, ive got this new manager game on Xbox, I think its called LCA or LCM Manager... will be giving that a shot, I like how you can build your own club... very indepth though, but unlike championship manager...you can only play in german, spanish, french, english, scottish and italian leagues.
