As a follow up, I want to see our 2010 advertising in the best Poltergeist impression (or was it Close Encounters?) saying ... They're Baaaaaccckk.

Let's hope.

If we finish top 4, I can that as the definitive poster... but I can definitely see it if we win the flag in 2010 :D

I love the poster but can think of some wicked retorts for the tag - lucky I barrack for us :D

You're not alone there 5. I love it's confidence and yeh, until we're back in september action, we'll continue to cop it from those sad little Carlton-haters out there but who gives a flying continental what tosspots think anyway.

It's bold and also places a nice bit of subtle pressure on the playing group re the clubs expectations for 2009. The Dawn is here boys and girls - put your sunnies on and enjoy the ride! :D:thumbsu:

Pm'ing you now sunwin.

Same here....think there will be quite a few comments floating around the office when my colleauges see it :P

I was thinking we can expect to see it parodied all over the place here. Until we start the inevitable surge to the top. It's a bloody good image - simultaneously antagonizing and dismissive. As Fiery suggested, we're starting to get it right in the marketing department. Now if we can just sort The Stones for Family Day. :):thumbsu:

Leading off with "I know, it's only Navy Blue, but I like it"....

Love it. It's awesome

Although I do have a problem with it fitting on my background, but I'll work around it

that got a tingle down my back

Also felt that

I can feel blue thunder storms next year!!!

Is this official from CFC or has someone slaped it up in photoshop?

In response to the poster, I believe the word is prematurely:p

Arrogance in sport is good when your on top but when you're in the position you guys are in, this poster is just embarrassing.

No embarrassing was what we did to your mob at your Centenary celebration match. :D:thumbsu:

No more embarrassing than round 1:thumbsu:

Short memories eh.

Not as embarrassing as this :D .............

Sponsor bails out on Tigers

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl/story/0,26576,24614005-19742,00.html

RICHMOND has been gutted by the collapse of a lucrative sponsorship deal with global insurance and financial services giant AIG. The Tigers, who were poised to use the financial powerhouse as a back-of-jumper partner, now have to re-enter the marketplace to find a major sponsor before next season.

The AIG deal was believed to be worth $800,000 a season over three years and would have seen the company join Dick Smith Electronics as co-major backers of the Tigers.

But AIG executives, increasingly concerned about the global financial crisis, pulled the pin last month.

The American-based company had also become wary of any negative publicity.

Less than a week after the US Government committed $85 billion to bail it out, AIG executives blew $440,000 on a week-long retreat at a luxury resort in California.

Sources said Richmond was stunned by the decision, which came after several months of negotiations and repeated verbal assurances that the deal was as good as done.

Comment was sought from AIG yesterday.

A Tigers spokeswoman said the club had started looking for another major sponsor.

"We have been engaged with a number of parties regarding sponsorship and continue to be involved in further discussions," the spokeswoman said.

"No heads of agreement had ever been executed with AIG and AIG has since confirmed that they will not be pursuing a sponsorship with the Richmond Football Club."
