I need a new TV for gaming - any suggestions?

My gaming TV has given up the ghost and I'm looking for a replacement. $700 is my absolute limit and screen size (due to space limitations) maximum is 43".

I don't care about FTA just using my PS4 and some streaming of Netflix and Apple TV

JB has a pretty good deal on the Sony KDL43W750D at $698 for the next few days.

The other options I am looking at are:

Hisense – 40K3110PW

TCL 43P1FS – $575 at Betta Electrical

Can anyone advise on how these TVs perform for gaming iir recommend something else that meets my requirements – my prime requirements are good picture and low input lag.

I'm still wondering about this too. Been inactively looking for a HDR10 screen since early August.

I think you may as well get a 4k screen. Which would rule out the Sony, and probably leave you with a Hisense screen at best, in that budget. I've used Soniq TV's a lot and never had issues, so that could be an option. Maybe TCL and maybe Kogan too. You might be able to touch the low end of Samsung 4k screens too, maybe if you can find a sale.

The sony is only a 50hz panel, with a terrible smart system.

Steer away from the tcl, rubbish panel in that model.

For you budget the 40k3300uw is 100hz and 4k for about 670

Thanks HL :)

Do you have one of these yourself?

I'm seeing what deal I can lock in for the Hisense 40K3300UW and where they are in stock.

Have the Sony put away for me at JB for $668 to pick up tonight.

recently bought this.... a 43LF5900 and it's a pretty damn nice TV.

picked up the Hisense 40K3300uw and have set it up. very happy with it after a couple of games in Crucible on destiny and checking out some netflix and 4K youtube - picture quality is excellent, seems very responsive and no jitters with action

Alright guys.

Im looking at 4k 75 inches. What should I be looking at? This will be used with the PS Pro and for watching sports.

What is your budget. and how light does the room get.

I've told the wife to expect 4k spent haven't moved in so not sure about light, but I will make it almost zero

well with a budget of $4000. Dont expect much at 75 inches. and there are only limited 4K TV's that are made in 75inches. and most of them are not that good, and will be a TV you get if you want to upgrade again in 2 years.

especially not with a good 4K experience with good HDR. and good for gaming.

OLED is ruled out with the insanely high input lag for gaming.

The Samsung KU9000 is one of the best 4K TV's right now. but at 75 inches it costs about $9000, or comes in Curved at 78 inches for about $12000

The KU8000 is great, its the one i just got but in 55 inches. but only goes up to 65 inches. preforms just about as good as the series 9

The Sony X850D is about $5000 at 75Inches. But is Sonys 3rd best TV. and only one that comes in bigger then 65 inches.

LG UH855 is about the same as the Sony, but more input lag and more expensive.

Only OLED you could look at is the LG-E6, but only sold in 65 at the most. and about $7500

Honestly being the best doesn't really matter, as long as the picture is clear. The X850D was one I was looking it, but I have pretty much no idea about TV specs so didn't really know what I was actually looking at.

Gives you a run down of what is good for gaming and everything else.

For your budget, i would look at the 75m7000 hisense, has acceptable input lag, downside is 400 nits v 1000 in the samsung. Can be picked up for around $3700.

Personally i would drop the size and go for the series 8 samsung in a 65 inch, still on budget, but imo, best led tv on the market

What if I went to 5k budget?

dont even touch the Hisense, its only a 8bit TV.

If you want a 4K TV with HDR you want a 10 bit TV with a wide color gamut.

I love the Samsung. and thinking about getting a 43inch Sony X800D for the bedroom.
