Whatever. 'The Machine' is irrelevant to our experiences as Collingwood supporters. The ONLY time I have seen a dominant Collingwood side was in 2011. We all know what happened after that. FFS let's stop pretending we are anywhere near the Hawks.

Yes it is an irrelevant comparison to the Hawks of today. But it is a record and a record is a record. And that record is ours. I for one am proud of it and sincerely hope it is not equaled by anyone else. FFS Bring out the Gimp and Spartan Magpie are still crapping on and feeling proud about the achievements of the Spartans from 2,480 years ago. Humans do this stuff Jmac.

We should cherish and be proud of our history.
I'm guessing Jmac is grumpy 'cos Hawks won their 3rd in a row whilst we won one 5 years ago and don't look close.
Treasure the past and be aggresive for the future.

Is that the guy from Twin Peaks? then yeah that was a good show... not as good as red dwarf though. Have you ever watched "outnumbered"?.. on ABC 3 weeknights I think... nice show.. the humor is all in the parents refusal to get angry when they should by rights be going psycho.

We make our mark on the game regardless whether we are in or outside of finals football, people talk about us and we sell memberships.

I've never understood discounting history.

You can only compete against that times opponents.

How many of the players from today could Hold Down a fulltime Job, train after work and play on a saturday on the shittiest of grounds.

Not forgetting there was only a top 4 during our run from 1925 to 1939.

the game was simply a lot tougher back then, more physical, man on man, and the grounds, more like paddocks.
every thing has changed so much. to days players could not handle what went on twenty years ago, and no chance back then
but in saying that in most ways the game is better to day, but past is where it should be

Yep thats what happens when you were all for the changes the club made and falling for promises of greatness and glory. Four years later look where we are and look where the Hawks are......... one can only turn grumpy after being taken for a ride from which he cant get off from.

I always get confused about what kind of day it is.

Is today one of those days where we say:
"Look at what Hawthorn is doing, why aren't we doing that"
