Still disgusted in Grundy, Pendles and Sidebottoms Grand Final. Absolutely disgusted. Sidebottom in particular.

Still think if Pendles and Sidebottoms hadn't won one so young they would have had a Tay Adams like drive. Not enough emotion shown from your captain after that sort of loss.

Well that clears that up.

My wife pays all our home bills.

Apparently my registration has lapsed by two days.

I have just received a $806.00 fine.

A big f u to the officer that would not let me pay the registration in front of him just now.

Quota my arse 🤯😤😡

I would like to thank P Sethi the Administration Officer at Victoria Police for using common sense when reviewing my fine and withdrawing my notice and giving me an official warning.

My big F U still applies to that quota hungry w***er of a cop.

Great News. Well done for following up.

This is not a vent but i was not sure where to place my post.
Les Carlyon,
His writing is amazing as if almost placing you there in the moment.
probably my favourite all time journalist, As a horse racing fan he was the best writer on racing bar none but he was very good on other stuff like history. Sad day

Great great writer.

Loved his story about Bart calling the races. “He was a good caller but had a habit of only calling his own horses.”

Words written on the page will not be as sweet as they were when Les wrote.

Great man.

I thought it interesting and disappointing that Julie Bishop believed she had 28 votes among her peers for the leadership spill, only to find the number reduced to 11 by the time she entered the party room for the vote. As she said, the liberal members were too intent on defeating Turnbull and not on installing a leader capable of beating Shorten and Labour in an election. Now I am not a natural Liberal voter but could have been swayed for personal (read 'financial') reasons to vote Liberal, and I quite like Julie Bishop, despite doubts about her ability to be a PM. Apparently it was that overgrown school prefect type, Christopher Pyne, who was largely responsible for swaying opinion against her. The Liberals are a rabble of a party now, seemingly incapable of making a sensible decision regarding anything that is going to raise their votability appeal in the electorate.

I actually thought J.Bishop was there best chance,
Really struck me as a good communicator and a sense of style,
And i am totally unsure who to vote for.
Is it Labor or Labour i wish the media could decide.

She was easily their best chance. I really don't understand why the Liberals are so intent on losing this election. Despite Shorten being so unpopular, Labour are going to absolutely romp it in in May.

Just vote either of those in your last line and all will be good.

I’ve pondered this for a while and though I agree that Bishop was highly popular, I don’t think she would have been a good PM.
She was a great FM, but her track record as minister in several portfolios under Howard was less than spectacular. Even Liberals whisper the word “disaster” when questioned on her performance back then.
I’ve no doubt though that she is more electable than Morrison.
Unfortunately for her, and other wannabe Liberals of the female gender, the Libs, hampered by their coalition partners, just haven’t progressed to the 21st century.
A big clean out of the party at this election might just be the best thing for them. Looks like that has started even before the first vote has been cast.

Hm

Hmmmm......I've never met a Tory who doesn't vote out of naked self interest. Recently a friend and lifelong Labor voter, told me she would not vote Labor over the franking credits issue. I was dumbstruck. It just goes to show, you can be a vegan, solar powered, inner city Labor person and still act like a liberal when money is taken away from you......even when you know you should never have been a beneficiary in the first place.

Come on Marty.....after 6 years of the current embarrassing rabble of climate deniers, homophobes and snouts in trough takers, then......vote informal, or start barracking for Melbourne or Carlton. :)

You don't know my circumstances or my voting pattern. I also don't think being staunch Labour is what it was 10 or 20 years or more ago. I have no more intention now of voting Liberal than I have of making any further reply to your comment or to the assumptions it makes. I look forward to your next training report.

Yikes there went my breakfast after reading Melbourne or Carlton!

I live in dutton,s electorate and I think finally he may well get the arse himself at the upcoming election thank god.The young woman who is contesting the seat has been on the husting s here for 2 yrs and Dutton has hardly been sighted but he is now I can tell you but it may be too late and it could not happen soon enough for me ,I absolutely despise him and his politics.
I agree Bishop was the liberals best chance to remain in power but they have made so many balls up,s recently they deserve the arse and to think Jullia Guillard got the arse for them and that slimey bastard Rudd there is no justice,I think Abbott is in trouble also and to think we may see the back of Abbott and dutton in 1 fell swoop leaves me feeling all my birthdays have come at once.

How could you interpret my comment so personally? You'd stated you were not a natural liberal voter, nor one who votes out of self interest. I was commenting on my belief that conservatives always vote out of naked self interest; I wasn't having a random pot-shot.

Use the headphones that come with your phones people.
I don’t need to hear both sides of your conversation.
Truth be known I probably don’t need/want to hear your side of it either!!
