Autopsy "I remember when"

lol. Thread has turned :D

Many years ago when Barassi did the special comments on 3AW- in a Geelong game (where Geelong were going very ordinary) Barassi said Geelong are playing " Happy Hammond " type football - at which point Rex Hunt had a laughing fit - but that was back in the days of the old ( brittle) Geelong - thank god those days are long gone

I think he used to be the #1 ticketholder way back in the 60's
The footage of him running down the race and onto the ground with the players in the '63 GF is an absolute pisser :D

ZIG AND ZAG anyone!!
I can only remember them at the good friday appeal.

Other than that, they were two old dudes in clown suits. :)

Now there was a stupid premise, a nun who could fly! About as stupid as a kangaroo that could solve the world's problems, or a stranded tourist boat the crew and passengers of which had access to every luxury but still couldn't get off the island....

What about The Magic Boomerang? The owner could throw it and all of civilisation under the flight of the boomerang is rendered absolutely motionless. OF COURSE the owner only used it for noble reasons.

I remember when I had to sleep at the ground in a queue during school holidays in 1967 to get finals tickets. Child abuse! I was nearly 11, but as I was already doing a morning paper round, my dad thought I was up to it.
I'm sure I've said this before on here.

But I'll never forget in 80, 81 what happened during those finals.
We'd be getting ready to go to bed. And dad would be getting the thermos, chair, and blanket out.

"where are you going dad?"
'I'm going to line up for tickets'

Maybe they should reintroduce it and piss off ticketek. That would cut the wheat from the chaff.

How about all the Canine heroes on TV?
Lassie
Rin Tin Tin
The Littlest Hobo

And ZORRO??

And The Samurai? How many of us cut the tops off cans and made flicking objects to mimic SHINTARO? That was a truly unique and great programme, imho. Ahead of its time.

Who recalls Grant Tanner? He was actually a Geelong Footballer- sorry to deviate the thread here - but he was named The Rifleman. Anyone recall that , and other westerns?

And perhaps one of the greatest movies of all time- SHANE.

Speaking of great nicknames, one of my all time favourite cats, Mark Bos, was MANDINGO

As good as the old westerns may have been VD.
And I watched a stack.

If you haven't watched Django Unchained...................

Which of those was a little troubled?

Have never heard of it until now.

Spot-on, and Bobby Davis coaching with sunglasses on, and actually enjoying himself, laughing and carrying on; unbelievable scenes compared to the drama of recent GF days.

Well it's not old mate.
But in this new age, it somehow captures the old age. Watch it.

.......any carnal thoughts about Princess Panda?

Honnie van den Bosch?
Rosemary Margan?

My all time favourite was that spunky Jeannie that Larry Hagman had all bottled up for himself.

How and where?

Bet you didn't envisage a thread like this when you first posted it. Truly TOTY.

No I didn't

No idea. Buy it if needed.
It's Tarantino

Only 2 or so to go and he is calling it quits.
And he is only 50.

Yes !! Comedy gold with the stutter.:) Loved it.
What about the Graham Kennedy show and his infamous "crow calls"..........
Wow!... You're going back to when Bert Newton's head was only an asteroid.
Good example of how moral standards and censorship have changed over a brief period in history.

Loved the mobile desk as well.
