Now there was a stupid premise, a nun who could fly! About as stupid as a kangaroo that could solve the world's problems, or a stranded tourist boat the crew and passengers of which had access to every luxury but still couldn't get off the island....
Yep... 'My Favourite Martian' had way more more credibility :D

Who recalls Grant Tanner? He was actually a Geelong Footballer- sorry to deviate the thread here - but he was named The Rifleman. Anyone recall that , and other westerns?

And perhaps one of the greatest movies of all time- SHANE.

Speaking of great nicknames, one of my all time favourite cats, Mark Bos, was MANDINGO

Lucas McCain…….and his son…always called him "Pawwww"

Chuck Connors…great stuff...

Uncle Norman….western star butter Club…great lil kids show………but...

Got booted off air when , after he thought he was off air, told the "little bastards to piss off"…..

End of career….

Has no-one mentioned Geelong's #1 supporter…( can't be bothered checking) Happy Hammond, who ran out on GF day with the 63 Premiership side? LOL….cant imagine it happening today…..:))

EDIT: (I see Happy mentioned just above…lol)

remember Rifleman well, great show. And spot on, Shane was an awesome movie.

Future generations will gasp at the shit people got away with in the past, and how easily it was swept under the carpet.
You seem to be deviating from the topic here!!

Honnie van den Bosch?
Rosemary Margan?

My all time favourite was that spunky Jeannie that Larry Hagman had all bottled up for himself.

Ah .....Jeannie and the harem outfit.....all that cleavage and being her "master" , those were the days !!

Also had a white "Rifleman" rifle as a kid , used to stand in front of the TV and shoot back at Chuck and see if I could work the lever quicker than him.
Can anyone remember " Branded" , was that Chuck as well?

Who else snuck out of bed to peek around the corner at the scandalous " Number 96 " ??

Ah yes, good point.

I'll give a really good one - my first game in 1978 at Geelong - I sat ON THE PLAYER'S RACE with my brother and cousin. Try doing that nowadays.
That was you?

Seriously for about a decade my father, brother and I stood next to the player's race as close to the fence. The same people stood in this area each home game. My old man smoked his cigars much to the displeasure of those who didn't know him.

Our slogan that year was "going great in 78" wasn't it?

I can remember a cats sticker on my brothers window.
It was right where I started my run up for back yard cricket :)

I didn't watch Dukes of Hazard to look at the car ....;)
