Toast I Think Crowley Stays

He definiely did more than Hinkley and Bollenhagen and really only one of those three should get dropped so gets a contract purely by default.

I worked in an organisation once where a colleague was obsessed with the idea of only working with people who were lucky. so he used to throw CVs across the floor and only interview the people whose CVs landed the furthest away

I'd keep both those two over Crowley.

If he keeps up his rate of decline he'll be next to useless by next year, at least the other two might have some improvement in them,

So he won the Best and Fairest a year after you posted this and was a vital component In a grand final side,oh and got a contract extension until the end of 2015. Nice prediction though :thumbsu:

To be fair...look at everyone else's posts (mine included). We all agreed he was on the scrap heap and didn't see his B&F form coming. There's even sarcastic jokes about MJ... How I remember those finger pointing jokes.

Crowley is too slow to tag the best midfielders now. Its unfortunate but once a tagger cant keep up whats the point in playing him. We wouldnt want to get rid of too many players this year (next year is the year for that, much stronger draft) so if we Have to keep him 1year deal, and he can be a "depth" player

This post says it all. 12 months later and Crowls wins the freaking Doig, then backs it up with another career best season after that. There is seriously too many players that have turned their careers around under the guidance of RTB and there will be old trashing thread/s for almost every one of Clancee, Crowls, MJ, Subes, Ibbo, Walters and whoever else I forgot. Its near on a miracle. Extending that contract should be a top priority for the Steves.

Especially Chops for starting a thread about how much Crowls had to offer as a defensive forward.

Playing him there nearly ended his career.

Come on, cop this one – pretty rich to bag him when your prediction was just as off the mark.

Chops and I are mates, even if he did blow me off in Melbourne to chase some tail.

That one was for his benefit in case the lazy bastard ever logs on again.

Bit harsh mate, it really looked bad for his career in 2011 and most of the esteemed folk here had already written him off.

there were a lot of regulars writing him off :)
Note to self: Everyone on BF is full of rubbish :)

Very true, nobody actually knows **** all.

Good god, the days of him being bulky as and a slow plodder in the forward line.. Fast forward to now and he is a lean mean machine owning every club's best midfielder.. What an absolute turnaround. One of the reasons why I'm glad Harvs got the boot. He was gonna delist this guy if he had one more week at the club... Thanks the Steves for RTB!
