For as much as we laud Fyfe, Walters, Pavlich etc. the only reason we were ever flag contenders was because players like him, Duffield, Mzungu, Suban, our so called "bottom players" in our 22. By no means the most talented players but were fantastic at playing their role to a T, and more.

Also notable for me was his performances on certain players like Westhoff where despite being outsized he just found a way.

Was deservingly AA in his best year. Was part of our best defense setup that caused opposition all sort of heartaches and frustrations. Just intercept and marked everything.

It had everything; distribution and run from Duffman; MJ, Ibbo and Elvis switching telepathically; Dawson the immovable rock and peak pre-bombitlong Spurr.
