Well, he's a tall, lightning quick, skillful midfielder. He was chosen over Andrew Swallow, who's already made a name for himself as a quality midfielder at the kangas, and we all thought Ibbo probably just needed the extra year, due to body type and late start in footy.
He's played the 1 game, and looked pretty good. And now he's starting to fill out, hopefully adding some strength to the explosive pace.
Is he our Pendlebury? Is 08 the year we roll out the rolls royce? Has anyone thought of a decent nickname? Ogama?

its early days but I'm confident we made the right decision drafting Ibbo. I think he will be like Peake in that he struggles to have a huge impact at WAFL level but with the constant running and posession game at AFL level he will step up a notch

its worth noting that despite this being his third pre season, he is still a teenager

I have been a huge fan of Garick since day one, the kid possesses all the talent the club is in need of. The only thing I believe he must continue to improve is his intensity around the packs and not just sitting back waiting for the ball to come to him.

I rate Ibbo higher than Peake in our long term success.

May have a lot to do with his back ground in soccer. Much about the round ball game is receiving.

i didnt think Ibbo was that fast, seemed to be fairly slow to me. but maybe he is one of those players that doesnt look like they are moving and then before you know it he is onto you

Reputedly one of the quickest couple at the club, I understood.. I could be wrong?, can someone confirm?

I think this season Ibbo along with all the other young and up & coming midfielders will especially start to apply a lot more pressure for first team positions. I seriously doubt Harvey will have the almost holy patience that CC had with underperforming midfielders. Good times ahead for Freo' with healthy competition for spots.
