Glen Jackovich - before a NAB cup game a couple of years ago said his nickname around the club was Libba as in Liberace as he was supposedly a flashy dresser etc. Rick asked him in a podcast but he said that's not his nickname. Yep about 1 year ago he was near the bottom of the stats sheet for the Maggies and I had just about written him off.

His improvement in the last 12 months have been amazing and I am very happy that Arch proved me wrong.

**** that was magnificent. I told a couple of mates - non Port followers - at the game about his handball in the Sanfl a couple of years ago that is the reason for this thread. They nodded in approval when they saw this effort in the last quarter.

On his efforts even aside from that handball he deserves a full game. Swear he was impacting every single contest hard when he was subbed in. We don't really lose much, if anything, from giving him a full tilt and having Mitchell play as sub.

Is he being groomed as the replacement for Cornes? Does he have the legs to play that role?
Certainly has the strength and attitude but legs? That is a question and not statement as I have no idea.

Agreed HO, if Arch is given enough AFL games his handball can be developed into a real zone busting weapon.
As for those who wanted him delisted after only 2 seasons on the list , maybe they needed to take into account he was only 17 when he was drafted.
