If Damian Barrett wasnt a flog of the highest order...

Going by reactions online, Barret probably isn't safe in 3011 or at Footscray games from this point. He is a genuine target for violence.
Really? You wouldn't slug a dweeb with fearless fly glasses would you????
Hell YEAH!!

I hear Sliding Doors is posted . Someone please copy across.
I hear it is short and embarrassing.

"IF you try really hard, Bevo...

THEN you could probably read something into this too."

If Darcy doesn't shake the grub by the throat on TripleM tonight...

I'll be very disappointed.

I don't normally tune into this stuff, but this is far too compelling! Are they on a pre-game show or something? Yeah I'm being that guy, justifying the drama by giving them an extra number

Here's an idea... Don't click on it and give it any oxygen.
Ignore the moron - that's the only way we'll get rid of him...unless we get Gatto involved
Nah, I looked. We all do. And now we wait for Angry Bevo to get a hold of him.

Wrong again Damo.

Bevo and all of us don't have to try hard to know you are a first grade d*******d, we don't need to read into your latest crap to know that.

He had the chance to write about any of the below Bulldogs topics actually relevant to football (because, after all, this is the AFL website). They didn't even need to be positive!

- Clay Smith retirement
- Lukas Webb neck fracture
- Brad Lynch
- Dale Morris likely playing on in 2019
- Picken confirmed done for the year
- Schache playing well
- Dahl and Wallis' contracts
- Our 2nd half fade-outs

Instead he spews out this pathetic dribble and thinks he's bigger than the game. As a 'professional journalist' (haha) he's truly jumped the shark.

Nah, I looked. We all do. And now we wait for Angry Bevo to get a hold of him.

Id prefer that all bulldogs staff and players decline interviews to any tv channel or radio show that has him working for it.
Clearly he wont be covering our game this week but the CLUB and not Beveridge need to make a statement from here on in.

Barrett turned this into Barrrett vs Beveridge when thats clearly not just what this is about.

I love the way Barrett is now saying that he was merely making an innocent comment and that Bevo is the callous monster dragging Boyd’s mental state into the equation.

Unfortunately, you can’t win with a bloke like that. He pokes the hornets nest, then cries when he gets stung. I honestly think he’s so narcissistic that he’s actually convinced himself he’s the victim.

I’m not an advocate of violence, but I’d love to see him and Bevo in a square go. It’s the only way some people learn.

Its difficult to take from somebody who's career (such as it is) depends entirely on assembling words in a manner that shouldn't leave any doubt as to their meaning. This is especially so when you consider the fact that the IF/Then column in particular is which make no mistake for all of the feel of off-handedness that it exudes is designed specifically to provoke with its precise and truncated use of language. That he resorts to the pitiful defence that these deliberately chosen words have been taken out of context or misinterpreted the moment he gets some serious blowback from a club tired of his childish agenda just beggars belief. His recent actions in trying to dig himself out from under a cluster**** of his own making really brings into question his professional integrity (such as it is.)

What pisses me off is that the official news outlet of the AFL gets to walk both sides of the street on this matter. They refer to Barratt as a journalist as if he is completely independent of the very news outlet that is giving him another free hit to alter a narrative that he ****** up with his own ill-advised column.

This is what you get when a behemoth decides that it wants to create and control a media cartel that dominates its own news cycle and agenda 24/7 and 365 days of the year. There is fast approaching a time when we will look back fondly on the god-awful days when The Herald-Sun, The Age and Radio filled this role.

If Barrett was suggesting the real reason Boyd was missing might have been a broken finger instead of his back ...

Then picking the back-up ruckman to replace the injured ruckman was surely a sensible decision. This would have nothing to do with Bevo's "set against" Roughead.

And after Bevo gives him a whack he says he was referring to a finger injury, not mental health.

He’s out with injury anyway? Who gives a rats tossbag what part of him is injured - HE’S INJURED.

And if it’s as simple as a finger injury instead of a back injury keeping him out, why not just say that in your column? He’s lost the plot I think.

Christ he's a dickhead.

If Darcy doesn't shake the grub by the throat on TripleM tonight...

I'll be very disappointed.

It has absolutely nothing to do with football. He has no moral compass, how does the AFL let him get away with conducting his personal vendetta on their site.

This also says a lot about him "Love everything about Toby Greene. The swagger, the super-elite talent, the I-don't-care-what-you-think approach, the deliberate way he goes about annoying every player on the other team, the desire to be the man with the ball when the game needs to be won".

Well done AFL Media and Gil you've let yourself become a megaphone to the most narcissistic childish piece of human filth in the game all for the benefit of a few clicks.

I don't know what matters of recourse the club have (CrocMedia seem to control everything and the contract is probably in place for a while) but I hope we are exploring them. This state of affairs cannot hold.

In other news: Crown Casino Events and Functions Office yet to recieve confirmation of Damian Barrett's attendance at the 2018 Brownlow Medal. Mr. Barrett previously enquired about what variety of personal security and or emotional support is available to members of the public in the event of a physical confrontation or even heated verbal exchange at such a function.
