For Hawthorn winning this game will be like winning a Grand Final. When the Hawks finish 10th this year and are watching Essendon in September they will talk about how they beat them in Round 6..... when it 'really' mattered.

For Essendon winning this game will be like winning Round 6 of the Home and Away season. 4 points on offer.

Says the bloke with "the messiah" in his avatar.

Hopefully it'll be a great match, but I'm looking forward to this weekend's game against the Dogs first.

then we will have the match of the year in round 6 between the bombers and hawks at the mcg. both coming into the game with 4-1. both taking in the history of the 2 clubs against each other. it could very well be the spectacle of the 2007 premiership season.

like the supposed 'game of the year' in 2001 that was over by quarter time?

Keep an eye on … Hawthorn
Aside from West Coast, which two sides are in the best form? If you answered Adelaide and Hawthorn, you'd be bang on the money, as they are the only other two teams in the league with a three-match or more winning streak. The Eagles remain in a class of their own, as the only team yet to lose a match this season. But it's not a bad effort by Adelaide and Hawthorn after both were put under the pump with opening-round defeats. Hawthorn's effort to overcome a red-hot Geelong was particularly impressive. The Hawks have won their past three by an average of 15.66 points and now sit fifth. They remain one of the competition's most exciting long-term prospects. It will be fascinating to see how the Hawks fare over the next month, as they face some testing encounters against the Western Bulldogs, Essendon, Fremantle and St Kilda. But Al Clarkson's men are worth keeping an eye on.

There it is for a start "Go You Spoons" or hang on Blues..

looks like essendon dropped the ball this week. i guess this means that hawthorn no longer have to win this weekend in order for the two sides to be coming into the r6 with identical w\l records for the season. even if we lose, we still come go into the game next weekend with only one team coming out triumphant in taking the other over on the ladder.

SHOULD BE GREAT STUFF!!!
