Should we go for Natanui, Rich or M Hurley?

It will be an interesting dilemma.

Natanui looks a player that you could build a premiership team around while Rich looks like a Palmer type.

Hurley would be more than a handy addition down back though...

The only way is up:rolleyes:

If we finish last Naituai would be too hard to pass. But if we come 2nd last I'll be absolutely livid if we choose ANY and I mean ANY other player than Rich!

There will me a national holiday.

The match committee at Essendon have graduated from the Greg Miller Academy of Recruiting.

Agree, plus if any Bomber supporters are hoping we win the wooden spoon, just so we can get draft picks, should stop supporting the Bombers & switch to one of the tanking clubs ie: Hawks, Blues or Tigers.
I believe in two of those three cases your mistaking 'tanking' for just generally being terrible (much like Essendon is at the moment). Regardless whoever finishes bottom may not end up with the first pick anyway particularly considering Richmond and Carlton still haven't won enough games to get past the priority pick.

Opposition fans are experts on Essendons list, why cant they have a say on who we should draft? ;)
Well, you Essendon fans were telling us all that you were going to make the finals this year, and it was the opposition fans who told you that you were no chance, so it would seem like the opposition fans know more about your list...

If Essendon doesn't finish bottom ... bet you will all be dirty that you beat the Roos in Round 1!
like ____, I'd rather any win than the chance to get a draft pick

I know many footy fans are stupid malevolent idiots, but I hadn't previously considered you in that catagory.

Any other team, and I mean any other team (including yours matey), that had the injuries we've had to, and to such key players, would also have suffered similarly.

I still maintain that with a good run with injury we would have snuck into the lower reaches of the 8.

For you to completely discount this makes me wonder if you're analysing, or gloating

Wherever we finish we need to draft the best available midfielder. Not sold on Natanui anyway, I saw him play last year and his skills left a lot to be desired, also not what we rerally need given our poor overall skill level.

Funny that.

Most Essendon fans on here denounced opposition fans for starting threads about how good Essendon was after the nab cup series.

Selective memory perhaps?

For you to completely miss the point of my post makes me wonder if you've got no sense of humour.

So you finish 14th ...Nat and Rich gone - you pass on Hurley and take a mid?

It will be nice to see how you handle the tanking moniker mantis.
Finishing 15th & 14th in '04 & 05 sucked, we played our youngsters, got rid of the older players who couldn't make a contribution or wouldn't be around for the next tilt at a premiership. And with a brand new untried coach.

I didn't feel Hawthorn was tanking, we just didn't have the players to compete against the best, they certainly tried though. And those same players are the ones unbeaten on the ladder at the moment.

So lets just see how tanking you are by the end of the year. And the next. And the next.

Because that's where Essendon will be I'm afraid. Enjoy the scorn of others as you have dished out yourself.
