Ripper
What about number 33 for the Bombers, I think he is a good chance to pick one up.

RED & BLACK, THE COLOURS OF FENG SHUI

It's only one game Ripper, but us North fans were very happy with his efforts last night. Even a couple of the Essendon fans around us spoke of him in glowing terms. The lad's name is Daniel Harris.

Also, great to see the old Stevo back on the field too....the best North player on the night for my money.

and ripper how about dean rioli for a future brownlow medalist
some of the things that guy did last night where unexplainable
the guy is a freak, if he could play a full season it would just be scary

Hey Ripper,
I'm not a big fan of the Roos, but your right this guy is gonna be a great player.
Do you reakon he might come and play for the Lions one day?

I actually thought no 13 Dylan Smith was better. He looks like he could fill in Peter Bells boots perfectly...ill back him for the Rising Star this year

Went at pick 13 I think. That was first round, but our third pick overall.

oh, ok. I just read his profile and it said the 3rd pick for the Kangaroos, so i just assumed it was round 3.

Number 37 in the Black and White stripes, will probrably never win a brownlow as he is not a blonde haired ruck-rover.

But Ryan Lonie's demolition of Ben Dixon was one of the best first games I have ever seen! His 20 posessions exhibited the poise of a 100 game player, as he did what comes naturally to him and rebounded (by running) the ball out of the backline, finishing it off with magnificent foot and hand skills.

This 17 year old will be mentioned as one of the greatest rebounding backmen of all time, you mark my words.

Harris did very well too, but for a first gamer to keep one of the supposed better forwards down to a handfull of posessions and two goals, while racking up a heap of touches himself, Ryan Lonie should get this week's Norwich Rising Star nomination.

Not taking anything away from Lonie's performance at all, but Ben Dixon one of the "better forwards"?

What... one of the better forwards in his street? One of the better forwards from his salon?

I did say "supposed" Darky.

Personally I think Dixon is one of the most overrated players going around. But like I said, if he is half decent he should be able to beat a 17 year old picked at number 34 in the draft!

I think clubs at draft time focus too heavily on quality midfielders and tall forwards, rather than pick up genuine talent, especially if they are "backmen".

Our gain I suppose. We were due for a break!
