And a hypothetical Sheffield Shield round went ahead next week, what are the best XIs for each state right now?

Keen to learn the state sides a bit better. Depth and the next wave looks seriously exciting.

Pls exclude the current test team regulars/locks in;
Weatherald, Khawaja, Labuschagne, Smith, Head, Green, Carey, Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Boland & Lyon.

NSW: Konstas, Salzmann, Hughes, K Patterson, O Davies, Philippe, J Edwards, Abbott, Green, Dwarshuis, Remain

WA: Whiteman, Bancroft, Cartwright, Connolly, Hardie, Inglis, Turner, Rocchiccioli, Richardson, Morris, Paris

QLD: Renshaw, Lovell, Hearne, Clayton, Weibgen, Peirson, Neser, Bartlett, Wildermuth, Steketee, Swepson

VIC: Macdonald, Kellaway, Harris, Handscomb, Peake, M Short, Harper, O’Neill, Sutherland, Perry, Murphy

SA: Hunt, McInerney, McSweeney, J Sangha, Lehmann, Scott, Neilsen, Manenti, McAndrew, Doggett, Buckingham

TAS: Ward, Wright, Jewell, Silk, Webster, Doran, Owen, Kuhnemann, Bell, Meredith, Bird

Don't follow other states anywhere near as much as the Vics, so they may not be entirely accurate but I think it'd be close

This is just a crazy strong attack for a FC side, is it my Australian goggles that say its significantly better than what most test nations could put together? I think its definitely better than what England have been rolling out.

Not even mentioning that many of our up and coming fast bowlers seem to come from WA. Testament to the talent pathways there.

The Queensland one is just as good IMO.

One of my pet peeves is people getting the batting order for the tail wrong. It would almost certainly be Paris, Richardson, Rocc, then Morris. I would argue Jhye ahead of Paris, but either way.

unfortunately in recent times, 3 of the 4 are made of glass.
