I've barely heard anything from Abbott the last few days. It's all been Andrew Robb.

Surely Robb's a chance for leader at some stage?
Not in the forseeable future. Has been very impressive in this campaign and will always loom large in the background for the Coalition. But he has less electoral appeal than Costello with leprosy. Definitely a possible deputy, but not the main job.

Abbot is finished.
The Coalition had this election pretty much in the bag post election night and yet somehow managed to find a way to still lose.
Abbott's inept performance over the past 3 weeks has shown his incompetence and authoritarian style leadership.
Thank heavens the independents made the sensible decision.
The vultures are circling and the knives are out; I would expect a leadership spill by months end.
Goodbye Tony, we won't miss your budgie smugglers.

What are the Indie's view on the global warming? I know Katter's position but what about the other amigo's?

If some sort of climate deal gets through in this term then Abbott is irrelevent. Blocking this is the only reason he is leader in the first place.

So its clear Abbot is planning on sticking to his 1 trick again and I'm actually pretty interested to see how it will play out in the new parliament.

I actully think it is in Labor's best interests to run with a fairly bold legislative strategy, doesn't have to be and probably couldn't be radical, but it should take on tough issues. I'd rather be attacked for building the NBN, reform of tax etc. than for not stopping the boats, or for being the most left wing government in Australia's history,

Windsor & Oakeshott indicated that climate change was one of the key reasons they sided with Labor. AFAIK Wilkie also believes in climate change and obviously Bandt does. The trick is how the Greens play with it in the Senate. While I back their decision to block the old ETS model, now is time to play pragmatic politics and get something, anything done.
