To be fair, in the Melbourne prelim last year, in the first half JK did a studs up mark similar to Riewoldt and noone batted an eyelid or even mentioned the studs, they praised the mark.

Earlier in the year Howe got paid a free against him for the :studs up" rule and that was that. Paid a free against and the AFL signed off on it saying correct decision that's what the rule is there for.
Jack does it, twice (really 3 times), on the weekend and now it is a wrong decision and they are going to change the "interpretation" of the rule.
