Why is every second bloke calling SEN saying Tim Kelly should have been cited for “ironing” out degoey? All radio hosts have shot it down, but geez, Collingwood supporters call us whingers 🥴

Should call in to say Maynard was blocked too just to fire them all up again :moustache:

Yes Allen is shielded somewhat with JK and Darling but he has become a more versatile player and wont be all banged up by the time he is 24. In saying that with Darling he was shielded by JK and Lynch but in his second year JK was injured for 3/4's of the year and Lynch was on decline and managed 50 goals in his second year. I would be confident Allen could produce the same if he had too.

This is Allen’s 4th season. I love Allen and he looks to have a higher ceiling than JD. However, Allen could not have produced what JD did in his first two seasons if he was given the opportunity. Darlings 2012 was unreal for us.

Yeah...sliding doors today... Seems to me to be a confirmation that Barrett trawls this forum and aims his poorly executed 'if' 'then' observations to incite fans.
I still read it pretty much every week. Clearly I'm the idiot.

He's right this week though.
We really do need an away win.
If only to stop the narrative about us.

Having said that, we're an easy target.
Brisbane are "officially back" after beating Collingwood and Essendon

And Port play the best footy so you must watch all their games. But ignore that one three weeks ago when they were s**t against west coast.

And ANZAC eve will have the biggest crowd since 2019 GF, just overlook the 54k that went to Optus last week for the big Friday night game.

Seriously, how hard is it?

I actually agreed with him about Thursday night footy, surprisingly...

Another thing that is overlooked by him is the injuries to us. He mentions Collingwoods injuries, Essendon are hampered because of Ridley. Danger gets a mention, as does Buddy. Get to us and no mention of our outs just the predictable away record when we’re heading to a ground that basically no one has won at since 2007. As a poster above said, easy target.

Pretty much how it goes every week with most commentators/journos regarding us. Opposition are "decimated" while missing 2 or 3 best 22, while our injuries hardly get a mention at all yet missing 6 of our best 10-12 players and then several other guys who would be the first to fill in for our genuinely decimated small forwards.

Lets be real though - they dont know who our players are more than half the time. The Geelong game will be touted as an "even match-up" by the Vics because Geelong are missing Danger and we're missing Shuey and Kennedy (with no mention on Yeo, Ryan, Hurn, Rioli, etc).

So of course when we inevitably get smashed by 8 goals the Cats will have been "brave".

C'mon man, we're only missing 4 All Australians and a Norm Smith medallist.

He is right, such is the depth of analysis of the game.

We are held to a higher standard than most though.

He has pencilled a reasonably patchy Nat Fyfe in for 6 this weekend and Port Adelaide are ‘must watch, every single game’.
