It can’t be good for the individual players’ seasons, but it could be a blessing in disguise.

If they miss or play a diminished role, it could make us less predictable to the opposition. Toward the end of 2019, we saw opposition teams base their plans around avoiding McGovern and they became very good at it. We stuck true to our system, which had worked well, but ended up with a good, but not excellent result.

Hopefully, we use the early season to add more strings to our defensive bow and still have the defensive aerial dominance to draw on later in the year.

Are you talking about the tactics where both of them were held illegally off the ball and didn’t get a free kick?

Or blocked illegally! was so frustrating to see it let go by the umpires all last season.

On a separate note, poor Liam Ryan and his family have to see this crap dug up and put front and centre.
thewest.com.au title and paragraph make it look like it's current to get them clicks

Absolutely nothing, yet somehow worthy of a front page pointer and dedicated article two years later.

Only thing stopping the article being on the front page itself was the enormous full page Toyota ad emblazoned on our state’s leading newspaper. You love to see it.
Completely agree. This type of reporting is ******* pathetic and should be called out. I'm assuming they're struggling to sell papers trudging this s**t out.

But what happened to them being the West Coast Australian? 🤔
We apparently burnt that bridge when the WC staff member pushed the channel 7 guy, which led to the "arrogance problem" being asked of Simmo by Baz after the Gaff incident. :tearsofjoy:
They're only West Coast Australian when it sells them papers, like after we won the flag and they had weeks of daily
Eagles premiership themed content.

Na The West changed when they came under new management. Years ago it was okay now its almost unreadable.

What exactly is the point of this article? What is this writer trying to achieve?

Trouble making, irrelevant rubbish. It's not news. It's on about the same level as those who attacked Ryan on Facebook or Insta gram.

Needs calling out.

Really happy & very surprised JK was rated above cry baby Jack.
Gov maybe too high & Shuey way too low.
Looking at some on the names in the 21-30 range, Hurn should be above a few of those names. Especially with Brent Harvey @ 27 absolutely ridiculous.
Sandilands at 30, that is absolutely hilarious from the Slobs

Considering the last 2 paragraphs in that article it is pretty hypocritical to have actually printed it at all.

“Ryan, who was drafted from Subiaco in 2016”

No, Peter Law, you dopey campaigner he was drafted in 2017 which means it’s entirely possible, and likely probable, that he wasn’t even on the Eagles list when he was banned from Crown “about two years ago”

Good article champ

Good manoeuvre though, getting your political correspondent or whatever his title is to go with this one.

Can’t risk the relationship of the sport section and the club, but they can plausibly claim that the sports journos had nothing to do with it. The club will be annoyed at the paper but can’t hold the sport writers too responsible, paper over the cracks, the perfect crime.

So Rioli way ahead of Juddy
haha , ridiculous

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

145 games, 235 goals, 3x Premiership, 3x AA, 1x Norm.

101 games, 63 goals, 2x AA, 1x Brownlow.

On a blind resume test it’s pretty easy to see why you’d have Cyril’s 2010s above Juddy’s 2010s.
