If Melbourne beat GWS today then Swans vs GWS final should be played at Spotless Stadium

For the good of the game. This would be a great opportunity for the AFL to promote the game in it's newest market, western Sydney. Even though the Swans are the home team the AFL have made it very clear that this qualifies the club for a final in your home STATE only. Last year we saw Geelong host Richmond at Richmond's home ground, the MCG, instead of Kardinia park which they were entitled to. Hawks have also hosted Adelaide at Etihad stadium in 2007 despite the Hawks having two nominated home grounds. There have been several other examples.

Swans fans should be happy about promoting the game in NSW. Also, Gil's father in law will be happy with the extra promotion of his company Spotless.

Me thinks this a troll thread.

Don't forget the Swans away advantage due to finishing higher.

Um why would a Hawthorn fan care about this?

I thought ANZ and Spotless were neighbouring stadiums?

It'll be at ANZ unless it clashes with NRL, in which case Swans will get their deserved SCG final.

No chance, home team will get the final.

I suppose you were against Hawthorn having home Grand Finals in 2014, 2015 and 2016?

An MCG Grand Final generates the most income for stake holders. In particular when a big victorian club plays an interstate franchise, this generates the highest viewership and hence increases the subsequent rights deal which is beneficial for those with performance based options in their contracts.
