This injury has really made me realise how shocking our depth (or lack thereof) in KPP really is. I mean Stevens (ugh) or Maric (not ready) ?!?!?!? Who else do we have?

I have said that during the pre-season. Thats why losing Watts was a big blow for us this year. He was the next one in line if the injury big struck which it clearly has :(

I reckon if it came to the crunch, Craigy would have a small man game plan.

That WOULD work.

I reckon this bloke is a genius. :thumbsu:

Agreed a critical loss - forget Stevens, Gibson NO, have we got anyone else???

Nope.

I am afraid its going to be either Stevens or The Croatian Sensation. I prefer the Croatian Sensation :D

Geez Stiffy - it just couldn't be Stevens, could it?? The match committee rissoled him after one very B grade appearance.

Presuming Perrie and Burton are both out, I think they will risk a smaller team against the Bullies, with both Edwards and Mattner coming back into the team.

If it's a tall, then it would be Maric IMO.

If it's Maric in the forward line then that makes the doggies keep Grant in the back half - which is a bit of win I would think.

For this week I don't think we will bring in a tall for Sarge. If Clarke needs a rest then obviously Maric will get a run.

As I said somewhere else, I even think that McGregor AND Hentschel will play forward against Doggies (even if Sarge was good to play). Rutten, Bassett and Hart are tall enough to cover any "talls" Doggies will throw at us in their attack.

We will go with a lot of runnin power against the Doggies so I suspect that Edwards, Mattner and possibly Porplyzia will play against the Doggies.

I watched Port Vs South game today and Stevens was ********house. He won't get picked up on what he showed today. Not in a million years.

Saw the North/Sturt match on Friday and Nick Gill absolutely tore it up at CHF. He chewed up and spat out Thurstans and would do the same to Scott Stevens. Much more moblie than Fergus too. Only 23 I think.

Pity they abolished the mid-season draft.:(

Thank god we've got the dogs next week, anyone over 5 ft will do ;)

Actually with Hargrave back and Harris in great form and Morris going well (all 190cm or over) you may need some tall forwards.

We just have a dwarf forward line - our backline is a lot taller.

Oh absolutely. That was just an attempt at a joke.

...apparently a bad one.

It'll be interesting to see what we do this week. I wouldn't be totally opposed to Mattner coming in for Perrie and going a tall short, then playing McGregor up front. Burton will be a huge loss if he's out as well.

The Dogs play a great brand of footy and while it'll be great to see them live, I think I'm more excited about seeing what Craigy has come up with to try and negate their running play. They showed today that they're just as capable of winning in a tough one on one battle as well. Should be a cracker.

If we need another tall, why not just rest a ruckman in the forward pocket rather than the bench, like they used to. It lets the full forward lead while keeping a tall target near goals.

The other alternative is running a short forward line which then means the Dogs have to bench a tall (if they've got one) to match up.

How far away is Minsen? He could be the difference.

Play Biglands as a permenent forward.

Maric into the ruck.

What do you think?
At a pinch. What Perrie did Biglands cant do. Perrie worked and ran and worked and worked . Perrie did his knee on the back flank.

Hentschell needs to take over the workhorse role Perrie played, then a spot will be available for Biglands
