It’s not wise to start something we’ve never done before in a cut throat finals series.

All of their routines that they have built up over the years get thrown on their head and sleeping in their own beds with their own families during the week is important.

I get that's it's not ideal, but it's 2 weeks with 3 straight away games in Melbourne. They have a routine but that's because they only play 1 away game at a time.

Nope. We will have a 7/8 day break between SF and PF and another 7/8 day break between PF & GF. Let them stay at home with their family and maintain their routines. We shouldnt be tired given the break between matches and the fact we havent travelled in a month since round 22.

The pre finals bye has been a godsend for us.

Spending three weeks away from the comforts of home and family on short notice would probably throw the players out of routine more than back and forth flights.
