I have constantly been calling for this since the pre-season and i'm going to do it again. Bring in Dennis Armfield! As we all know Russell is not a premiership player and never will be, so when we finally breakout and start becoming a dominant side, he's not going to be apart of it. There's no point in wasting time trying to mould Russell into a good player, it can't be done if he's not good enough. Dennis has been absolutely great since he arrived at the club and i think it's about time we rewarded that. He was the ability to be a great player and has the psychological toughness to succeed in this sport.
If we can nurture a player like Armfield into a potentially explosive player as i believe he can be then there's no reason why he shouldn't be playing ahead of Russell or Bannister. Those two are very likely to be delisted at the end of the year and IMO are just taking up a spot in the team that could be filled by a younger player with more potential (eg. Grigg, Armfield). The club is all about re-building and having players with no futures in the side is not going to help that, instead trying players who could have futures seems the way to go.

G, you were obviously born on February 29th. The rest of us are aging at the regular rate and don't have time to hang around for the likes of JR to get a kick. There are wheels of cheese buried in Swiss cellars maturing faster than him, FFS.

Hey good idea, Russel runs through Thomas early.. Thomas is out of it for the rest of the game, and Russel gets done for 3 weeks...
Then we play Melb with a new team and get the wins up and Russel wont find his way back into the side!

That is more like what being a supporter is all about. At least it used to be.
Unfortunately, these days people seem to direct their anger and frustration for poor performances very much at individuals (be it certain players, the coach, the president, etc).
Some of it I don't find particularly pleasant to be honest.
Not to mention the effect that this personal vitriol would have on family members, relatives and friends many of whom visit these forums from time to time
