If West Coast win the 2019 premiership are they superior to Brisbane 2001-2003 and Hawthorn 2013-2015?

Wow talk about going the early crow. WC win one flag all of a sudden they're talked about along side Hawks & Lions 3 pests!
I mean WC look unstoppable & are the clear premiership favourites but let's be honest anything can happen.

To be fair look how many Eagles posters in this thread have told OP it's a terrible thread. OP has a history of this crap.

You can probably simplify the equation as Brisbane's 3 peat is vastly superior to Hawthorn's.

No chance. Extra cap space and that Collingwood side, filled with players like Butheras, Fraser, a young Didak, young Davis x2, Molloy, Steinfort, Lonie, Freeborn.

That teams gets absolutely reamed by all proceedings Premiership sides.

Brisbane salary cap was due to available local talent, if you consider West Coast have a whole football state to choose from with only one other team to go up against, Hawthorn is reduced by sharing it with 9 other clubs grabbing at players. No, this conversation starts when they win 3 in a row and no earlier.

WC 2019 are already superior to those other sides.

The youngest player in the 2003 premiership side was Ash McGrath who is now 36. Alastair Lynch is 51. No yoof, we'd run all over them. Plus Jonathan Brown doesn't have shoulders any more.

Hawthorn still have a chunk of their side (including guys elsewhere) but the spine is looking shaky. They'd have a team of 35 year olds instead of a team of 30 year olds but would probably still beat Gold Coast. Take our Brian Lake (fat, nose beers) and it gives our forwards a lot more freedom.

Fortunately WCE and Freo have no other club able to draft WA talent.

Imagine if any of the other 16 teams were able to have WA players on their list.

Such a mythical system could see them having Duncan, Taylor, Clark, Kelly, Menegola and Narkle in one team.

Time to be srs.

Eagle > hawk, silly to pretend otherwise. The wedge tailed eagle is a fearsome, majestic bird. Make a hawk look like a Weiro by comparison.

Should the two meet it is likely that a lion would defeat an eagle, but both are apex predators. It's only right that WC and Brisbane finish 1 and 2 this season. You know it makes sense.

No, because it means they'll have had 4 finals games at their fortress in WA out of 6 appearances.

Geelong 07-11 is still the most dominant team of this century. Not one home finals game in that time and broke almost every record there is to break. And they won 3 premierships.

West Coast could become the only club to cleansheet 3peat Geelong in Grand Finals (Collingwood & Hawthorn have also done it twice, but lost to Geelong as well)

Brisbane/Fitzroy beat Richmond in their most recent Grand Final (1944)

West Coast H2H
26-25 Geelong
26-17 Richmond
35-13 Brisbane Bears/Lions
I genuinely didn't follow any of that. And I'm universally acknowledged as the most intelligent poster on BF by the length of the proverbial straight; so what hope have the others got?
