i see this in confidence because he is your focal forward and if you relied on him to much. A bit like the blues with fev. I think it has been a blessing in disguise for the roos with thompsons injuries.

You boys are sharing the footy around and all of your forwards are getting a touch.

I would be interested to see why you guys think that you have won 6 in a row.

Well with the current squad and gameplan, you would just swap thompson for leigh brown. I think its obvious whether we'd be better off or not, fool......

If we had thompson we would be 9-0 instead of 6-3.

I see what the guy is saying - we did rely heavily on Thommo last year. That being said, our game plan this year is so totally different that having a guy like Thommo in combination with our super crumbers would add another 2-3 goals per week to the tally.

i think it has helped us though... i can understand where play_hard is coming from. Last year we were relying on him way to much, and i think the boys would have realised that this year... that being said though, he would be a massive asset to us now. He would be a great option to have, along with some of our other emerging forwards in the likes of edwards, LT, etc..

we get the ball in a lot quicker now. he only needs to contest.

the inclusions of thomas and campbell help us a hell of a lot.

that harvey and grant are scoring forward of the ball a lot more is helping as well.

cojones is out of sorts - him in form will be a plus.

thompson just needs to contest as brown is. straight swap.

I actually think he has a point. Last year we were very, very Thommo dependant, and there's no guarantee someone like Edwards would have gotten the chances he has with Thommo.

If we threw a fit Thommo back in now we'd be a much better side, but having him injured in the first place has allowed us to see what other guys are capable of, and his role wouldn't be as dominant. In other words, we needed to lose him to find out a lot of things about our forward line, and he'd slot back in nicely now.

Our problem last year was it took too long for us to go inside 50. Thompson would be an 80 goal forward in our side at present.

Guys like Jones, Grant, Harvey, Thompson, Campbell, etc would give him a lot of support. He would basically be where Edwards is now but get more of it and convert more. Edwards would be across half forward just getting a lot of the pill and sharing it around.

Next year with Thompson at FF and Hansen at CHF... watch out! ;)
