Is it really 5 years ago that Terry Wallace made a clearly injured Richo fly to Sydney and play what would be his last game?
If not for that I still think Richo had at least the 2010 and 2011 seasons in him.
Really was sad that he didn't get a final game send-off.
For some reason I thought he got to about 500. I know he ended on 800 though.Richo averaged 3.05 goals a game at the MCG too (played there 152 times, 464 goals).
That gimp wouldn't have got there anyway. Only ever beat up on shit clubs in Tassie.Franklin has left Melbourne too![]()

Richo Richo man!!! I wanna be a Richo man!!
Just out of curiosity, who won our goalkicking award in 2000? Ottens? Ben Holland? (if he was still running around?)
Matt Rogers won it with a very solid 37 goals.
Ottens kicked 30.
Holland managed 22 but was injured for a little bit.
Thanks for the history lesson HD, wouldn't have guessed Matty Rogers won it!
Would be fascinating in a way (hope we never have to find out though) to see who would win it if Jack went down.
richo going down then jack suddenly popped up. if jack went down it could be a blessing in disguise and develop a tall forward ready for next year. Thanks for the history lesson HD, wouldn't have guessed Matty Rogers won it!

Make him coach

for all the haters, dimma is right. its what needs to be done if we are to develop a second forward. we cant be reliant on jack. we just cant seem to kick a big score these days.Yeah, could be Tunksy- we were very lucky Jack stepped up to the mantle when Richo retired. One of the few good things from the Wallace years (IMO) was the decision to push Richo up the ground and let Jack play as the focal point in the forwardline.
Perhaps that is a bit of the thinking Dimma had when he tried to get Jack to push up the ground and let Vickery be the stay home full forward?
