My natural instinct is to remain skeptical, but then the signs and symbols that are inconspicuously placed in various media all too often for seemingly no reason make me think otherwise. Wouldn't be surprised if it exists to some form of extent, though I haven't read that much into it and don't care to in great detail either.

Once you've seen it a few places because you are looking for it, you see it everywhere.

Theres so many films Ive noticed that very cleverly show a bright light above a triangle, blatantly or artistically.

Makes me cringe these days.

See it once or twice, and it's completely understandable to dismiss it as a bullshit coincidence, but it's very common, and for no apparent reason, so it makes you think that there must be an explanation for it.

I can't imagine Bildeberg meetings being anything other than completely unproductive. It's a whole lot of people whose interests (beyond an un-disprovable "but they meet to keep the entire system running" type of conspiracy-truism) would very rarely directly align.

It's about as insidious as the OECD and the UN. But with more limp-wristed aristocrats.

The idea that the top echelons of capitalism is some grand cooperative is absurd. Are there moments of cooperation and exploitation? Sure. But there are just as many where the big players try to eat each other alive.

Some may seem wacky and given our almost limitless capacity for self delusion, or fertile imaginations, they quite often are.

Attempts at big picture thinking, a subconscious desire of the mind to stay active and the the innate need to connect dots and try to make sense of the world from our own small frame of reference (when there often is none), are possible driving forces behind many conspiracy theories or belief systems.

But the pendulum swings the other way, so to expand on my first comment, we form conspiracies with our peer group or like minded people from the playground to the business world.

Some are simply childish, but groups or individuals vary in intelligence, organisation and ambition.

Simply look to history and you see some of the most amazing, complex or dastardly conspiracies one could hope to imagine.

The problem is with hindsight we now merely see them as events, having the advantage of a removed perspective and the gift of knowledge.

There is ample historical evidence of tyrannical religious organisations plotting towards domination, collusion in business and governments acting against the best interests of their people whilst breaking laws in a systematic fashion.

So in the light of evidence, reason or compelling logic and insight, it would be foolish to discount the possibility that these same behaviours or events may not in some fashion be repeating.

Having a critical and probing mind should extend both ways.

I wasn't saying they "did" it, because as you said we don't know and probably never will. However, it is naive of whoever it was to call it a crazy theory, especially considering it's almost definite that the US government played a role, whether it be miniscule or massive.
