Hi...My names Craig....and im a footyholic.
It all started when i was 4 or 5, its a bit vague really it was a long time ago, but i know my dad gave me my first taste of footy. He took me to Alberton one day and i guess ive been addicted to it ever since. I make sure i try and go to two games each weekend if possible, cos one is often barely enough to last me a week. Ever since i was 4 or 5 ive been going to the footy every weekend each season...i guess you could say im addicted, but i think im in control of it.
Every time footy ends in about october each year i find i go thru cold sweats, hot chills, i get irritable, very cranky, i tend to get violent and also cry for no reason. To get my footy fix i always watch tapes of old Port grand finals, or games i taped during the year, or the 'that was the season that was' series. I blame dad for this addiction of football of mine. He took me to my first match...so its his fault. Ive probably gone about 400 games in my life. I cant see myself quitting footy anytime soon, but i guess admitting i have a problem is the first step. I didnt know whether i should of came to Footyholics Anonymous today..i didnt want to run into anyone i knew...they might laugh at me.
So yeah...My names Craig...and im a footyholic.
