Can I ask how old you are? I had the impression you are about my age (I'm probably waaaay off). I have been with my GF for nearly 6 years and we get the "When are you getting married?" question ALL the time but we're so not ready, I'm only 24 and she's 26.

I'm 25, she's 23 (turning 24 in a few weeks though). It's a lovely feeling to get engaged, presumably it will be even lovelier to tie the knot when it happens!

Yeah, to be honest we probably got engaged a bit earlier than we would have if she wasn't about to head overseas for a while - but don't get me wrong, we were both absolutely ready for it

Nice guess with the age I'm sure most people see my avatar and assume I'm 19


I'm such a footy fanatic that it's unlikely I'd ever consider booking the wedding in footy season Besides, I'm always a fan of having celebrations in late summer/early autumn.
