I'm going to the Moon

This is a game involving abstract thinking.

Someone thinks of a pattern or set of rules. The idea is for you to solve that pattern or set of rules and work out what you can take with you to the Moon.

I.e.
  • I'm going to the Moon, and with me I'm taking an Apple.

The next person then suggests something they're taking to the Moon. The person who's co-ordinating that particular game decides whether you're allowed to take your 'answer' to the Moon.

  • I'm going to the Moon, and with me I'm taking an Orange.
No, you're not allowed to take an Orange.

  • I'm going to the Moon, and with me I'm taking an Avocado.
No, you're not allowed to take an Avocado.

  • I'm going to the Moon, and with me I'm taking a Boat.
Yes, you're allowed to take a Boat.

  • I'm going to the Moon, and with me I'm taking a Cat.
Yes, you're allowed to take a Cat.

The pattern here is that everything we're taking to the Moon has to be in alphabetically order... Apple, Boat, Cat... So the next thing we're taking has to begin with the letter D.

The person co-ordinating the game decides what set of rules, relationship or pattern pertains to the current game. If you get the answer incorrect, feel free to have a drink. Don't get too drunk, though, because you might pass out and be unable to complete the game.

I'll start off:

What are you taking to the Moon?
