Unbelievable

I got dealt A 8, he bet and I called

River A, 8, something else

He goes all in, I call

He reveals JJ so I'm in front praying for no J

Turn reveals a J

Oh crap

River? Another ****ing J :( Lucky I was winning comfortably so despite him taking the lead I was well in it, won the match easily in the end, he bet big on god knows what, ended with high card K against my pair of face cards, then he gave up and went all in every hand untill I got KK and called him

Online poker is a joke. How can people play this junk? So glad I didn't fold.

Anyone else play much Rush on FT?
For some history, I had played 35k hands on party, taking my BR from $11 to $70, only to tilt and blow half of it..
Wanted to try and Qual for Aussie Millions on FT so got a free $50 BR, and signed up with FT..
Lost a couple of $ on the micro's, then on Sunday decided to give Rush a try..
I've won $35 in just under 4k hands playing 0.02/0.05..
In that time, the rake has been nearly $17..
Do you guys think I should I make an account in my gf's name, transfer the $ and claim rakeback?

Well it's against the TOS and you can get your account suspended and funds confiscated so I wouldn't recommended it.

But they get lucky so often. I'd rather play against people who know what they're doing then people playing like that, in a Tournament anyway.

I literally dream that I could go back to 2003 where everyone played like a * or a nit.

But they get lucky so often. I'd rather play against people who know what they're doing then people playing like that, in a Tournament anyway.

This is such a backward, deluded statement, and yes, I want to play with the peanuts all the time.

I would have shipped for 99 preflop FWIW. Putting in 55% of your stack preflop with 99 is very bad. Then, when the flop smacks the range of the hands your opponents could have, you call of your stack with third pair, suck out, then have the cajones to believe they player horribad.

I understand your anger with variance, especially in quick OL tournaments, but if there was no variance, then there would be no fish, then their would be no poker economy...

Pocket aces...

I had them in a CASH GAME and got to the flop against 1 opponent. The board was J 7 6 rainbow. I led out and got reraised. What now??

I thought he could have a set. Still, I called the reraise, then check-called the turn and river only to see him turn over 66 to have a set, and I lose 80% of my stack.

What is the best way to play this. I was thinking I could have re-raised him on the flop. This way if he calls I check-fold the last 2 streets, if he folds I win the pot there. Is this the best strategy??

What about if I am in position. What is the best way to play it then??

AA is fine when I am called. But it becomes a tough spot when I am raised..

Cheers.

Impossible to answer without stack sizes, SPR (stack to pot ratio) and a bunch of other stats on your opponent. Not all opponents will do the same thing with the same hands, as such these stats help you make the right decision.

Also, him folding and winning the pot right there is only a good thing if he either folds the winning hand or folds with a hand that had the correct odds, both current and implied, vs your hand. Since the board is lacking heaps of draws other then his range is weighted to strong made hands.

Overall, if you think the villian cant raise AJ for value in this spot then its probably a fold. Live poker 90% of people unless they are short stacked kamikazing all in wont raise the flop without 2 pair plus, so I happily bet fold this most of the time...

I have the 9 10 of spades...

There is still 3 people to act behind me so is this fold to the re-raise a right one considering all my draws??

My bad luck has returned, got a straight from the flop, bet aggresively and he called, suprised me a bit really as at best he had low pairs, but his gamble paid off, another 5 on the turn apparently gave him a full house and bet aggressively I continued to do untill he had basically wiped me out on the hand, gutted :(

Insane. You have 12 solid outs and a few more very thin ones. There's over $6 in the pot. Shove every time.

Thing is the guy that has re-raised I think has made his straight. The guy who led out could have a flush draw with and ace or king kicker though.. Then there are still 2 others to act who could also have a straight or a flush draw with better kickers?? The other thing is I have only invested 30c into the pot and am not comitted in any way to the pot..

But yeah I guess most of the time I do win if a spade comes up on the turn or river. Can also make a better straight to what the other opponent(s) are holding.

Haha love when they make the big bluff when you know you have them easily beat :D

Thing is the guy that has re-raised I think has made his straight.

Not unless he is insane. He raised preflop, remember? An overpair is much more likely.

The guy who led out could have a flush draw with and ace or king kicker though..

He could have anything from a flush draw to a naked 8. Much of his range willl fold to your shove.

Then there are still 2 others to act who could also have a straight or a flush draw with better kickers?? The other thing is I have only invested 30c into the pot and am not comitted in any way to the pot..

This is all true, but they are *very* unlikely to have a straight, and fairly unlikely to have a better flush draw. Your shove may fold some of the better flush draws. Overall you are shoving for equity I think.
